Hello my darlings,
I’ve been craving writing here for quite a while now. I know I disappeared from the blog and social media almost completely in the past few weeks, and trust me, it wasn’t great.
I’ve discovered that living with the head in the clouds and being always super trustful is not amazing, as you might find yourself with your phone being stolen. And then you realise how much of your life actually consists of you holding that little device in your hand…
So while realising that, I came to the conclusion that a 3 weeks phone detox was not that bad, I just wish I planned for it instead of having to pay for its cause. Anywaysss, things happen for a reason and you learn best from your own mistakes so I came to terms with all that happened and I went back to spreading positive vibes only! 🙂
Another effect of me being phoneless was that I had more free time! If you ask my friends they will roll their eyes and say that I barely ever have free time as I live on a schedule and always have things planned. Which might be true, buuuut in my defense, I do try and make them part of my schedule as much as I can! So while I did not have a phone, I spent more time with my friends, more time taking long walks, having deep conversations and laughing out loud. I read more, I planned more (old habits die hard) and I got to enjoy the offline life a bit more.
Don’t get me wrong, I try to do that just as much when I have a phone, but only when I didn’t have it anymore, I realised how much of a difference it makes. I’m not going to lie, I did start a new series, but I didn’t binge watch it, so anytime I had the chance, I spent some hours outside, enjoying beautiful Worcester while the good weather lasts. I climbed the Cathedral Tower again and starred at Worcester’s beautiful sceneries as much as I could. As much as I am homesick right now and I cannot wait to go home, I still admire Worcester’s beauty!
So while I was disconnected from the online world, I connected with friends, old places, new places and most importantly, myself. And even though I’m back here I promised myself that I will try to read more, explore more and overall live offline more than before.
So that you can see a sneak peak of what you might be missing, here are some Worcester views and an outfit to go with them. And just to reassure you, no, I did not climb the Cathedral Tower with my heels on, I felt like my flats would be more helpful while going up those 235 stairs. The view is worth it though – enjoy!
Much, much love, D.
