Hi beautiful,
How’s everything? Do you feel like fall is taking over? Because as much as I don’t want to let go of the heat and that summery sun, I feel like I need to give in and embrace once again my love for sweaters and hot drinks.
Just not yet, you know? I know, I’m crazy, it’s mid October, what am I expecting? But truth is my summer went by so quick, so did September and then I embarkee on a journey around Romania that started with me in a short sleeves dresses and ended with me in a full on winter coat. And all that in just 11 days. Which is why I’m not ready yet!
However, while I get used to wearing warm clothes and hoping that England will surprise me with some sun (I know my chances are not really the highest) let me tell you about my latest trip. I travelled around Romania together with a representative from the University of Worcester to represent the University at RIUF, a universities fair that happens across the country. Days were long and exhausting, but there were so many motivated and ambitious prospective students, I was surprised! 15 or 16 years old that know exactly what they want, that is amazing, I had no idea at the time..or now.
The travelling was also worthy as I visited cities I have never been to before, like Iasi and Timisoara that left me speechless, I had no idea about the beauty that hides withing them. You can see more pictures from these cities on my Instagram. That made me want to travel around Romania more and at the same time, I realised that a lot of us make this mistake – we dream about visiting far away, exotic places and we don’t stop to think that we could start with places that are closer than we think – in our home country. As a result, I am planning a trip in Romania for next year, hopefully, to discover even more beautiful places.
Until then, I am back in England, ready to catch up on work for my classes and to get back into my hechtic schedule. I ended my travelling with a weekend at home, I surprised my brother for his birthday and it was such a lovely weekend! Time at home always gets me thinking about my life, the decisions that I make and how I run things. And yes, I am always on the go, but this is what fuels me and feeds my ambition, and as much as it gets me exhausted sometimes, I would not change a thing! Credits to my bestie for making me really think about this and reminding me that I shouldn’t give up and that I should go out there, do every single thing that I want to do, put my whole heart in it, as I usually do, and keep those positive vibes coming.
Definitely on to do that! And that plan also involves a lot more posting around here so hope you’ll stay around as I am very excited to share some new content with you!
Have a lovely Monday and an amazing week, keep a smile on that face and you’ll be able to handle whatever this week throws at you!
Love, D.
