Hello darlings,
Merry Christmaaaaas! I hope everyone’s Christmas is amazing and that you are spending it with people you love and that you took a moment to slow down this rush we live in and to appreciate the people around you. Appreciate what they do for you throughout the year, what they do for the world, how they make it a better place for you to live in. I am sure there is at least on person, family, friend, even a stranger that deserves a thank you and some kind words.
As I grew up, I realised that Christmas was less about the presents that got me so excited as a kid, and more about me being blessed enough to be able to spend it with my family, to have a few days of appreciation towards them and their support, to step back and realise how much I have and how little others have and really think about it, you know? I let it sink in and I let it make me a better person and a more grateful person.
We get lost sometimes in the rush for a goal, for a good degree, for a great job, for our dreams. And you know how vocal I am about people following their dreams! But you have to slow down and appreciate that people are still with you through it, they still love you, they still stand by you, even in your rush. And that is something that I really cherrish.
Family is everything and I always put it first. And moreover, this year, I realised who are the friends that turned into family and I couldn’t be more grateful to have them.
So this Christmas, show some love for the people who love and the people who, unconditionally, love you back!
Be good, do good and show kindness!
I shot this pictures thinking about this, hence why I am all smiles, smiling more than in my usual pictures, because this is something that makes me truly happy! Oh, and there was this cute dog that I thought you’d enjoy seeing, so you’re welcome!
Also, this year, was the first year I bought a Christmas jumper, yaaay! Living in Romania I never did, as we do not do that – even though, I think this custom is coming towards Romania, as I heard people saying that they want to buy one and I saw some Christmas jumpers in the shops. How cute!
So as a kid I never did, and then somehow, I never did, not even in these few years I’ve been living in England. So I thought this is the year this will change. I went looking for one, but I didn’t find one that I liked, so, as a last resource, as my days in England were running out, I turned to the mens’ section. And surprise, surprise, I found this beautiful red one and with a big Santa on it – exactly what I wanted!
You know what they say, as long as Santa’s in your heart, he will live forever! And it does help he’s on the jumper too, right?
Merry Christmas, my loves! Have an amazing time celebrating this holiday and even if you don’t celebrate it, take some time to appreciate the ones that love you, remember the good moments, smile and spend some time with your loved ones – this is what it’s all about in the end!
Sending a big bear hug to each and every one of you!
Love, D.
