A White Christmas

A White Christmas

Hello my darlings, It’s Christmas Eve and after I’ve finished decorating the house and cooking all the Christmas food, I’ve decided to share a little blog post to wish you a Merry Christmas and show you how a white Christmas looks, in case you aren’t having one where you live! Summer has always been my favourite season, but despite that, December has a very special place in my heart and over the years, it has slowly become my favourite time of the year. And can you blame me? It gives me so much joy because it brings together all my family, spoils me with all the traditional food I’m missing all year and everything around me looks sparkling and full of lights. Regardless if you’re celebrating Christmas or not, I’m sure you all love to see the cities coming to life and having all  kind of events that bring people together for laughter and hot drinks, because at the end of the day, it’s a holiday season for everyone, we all travel home to see family and friends and end the year in a festive way! As I am typing, it doesn’t look like I will be getting the white Christmas I have been hoping for, but luckily, I got to see some snow a few days ago, because (if you grew up with snowy Decembers, you know this) it just doesn’t feel the same if I come home for Christmas and there is no snow around. In a minimalistic manner, I dressed in all black and a touch of colour. The accesories were a bit of faux...
LFW: Take Me Back

LFW: Take Me Back

Hello babes, As I am touring Romania (check my insta for details!) I am sitting in my hotel room looking at graduation dresses and looking for inspiration in all the new collections that we’ve seen throughout fashion month. I’ve spammed my insta stories with them, so you have surely seen them! (sorry not sorry). So I thought as a throwback, I’ll share with you my London Fashion Week memories. I attended LFW for one day honouring an invitation to Paul Costelloe’s show, which was impressive beyond words. The dresses were beautiful and I wanted to buy every single one of them! For the show I wore an outfit inspired from Marta Jacubowski & Stella McCartney’s collections, presented earlier during Fashion Week. I went for something stylish, but also quite comfortable, an outfit ready to take me through Central Line at rush hour! And it worked, my heels were comfortable enough to take me through the day, even though the usual outfit ‘malfunction’ happened in the sens that my boots did not stay ‘over the knee’ throughout the day without my help here and there. But all in all, I enjoyed wearing my outfit, and that is the most important thing for me always, to wear a stylish outfit that gives me the confidence to enjoy my day without thinking too much about it. With that in mind, I’m off browsing some more outfits for my graduation – please let me know if you have any suggestions! Love, D. I was wearing: Skirt – H&M Shirt – Vintage Poncho – Vero Moda Necklace – Avon Boots – New Look Bag...
Cannes Film Festival memories

Cannes Film Festival memories

Hello darlings, It’s been a while and so, so many things have happened! That many that it will take me more than one post to tell you everything without you getting bored or lost in all my tales! So I’ll start with the most impactful and recent one – my work at Cannes Film Festival. Even if the festival ended only two weeks ago, I already struggle to remember everything in detail because of how dynamic everything was. The festival took place between the 17th and the 28th May this year and it was my first year attending it. I flew over with a team of PR professionals in my first graduate adult adventure as a PR & Marketing person. I wrote articles, liaised with press, was part of the organising team of a Celebrity Suite, met lots and lots of people and tasted the craziness of what goes behind a huge event like this. Everyone sees the festival as a glamorous experience and now looking at my pictures, I realise why, but truth is, as an insider, as someone that works behind the scenes, I can tell you it is not all pink and bubbly, but rather rushed, last minute, spontaneous and exhausting. Not that glamorous, huh? But at the end of the day, the reason why it’s so exhausting is that there is so much to do during the day and so many events to attend during the night, that there is little to no time left for sleeping or eating! Truth is, they were some 2 weeks hard to keep up with, but I have learnt...
Mix

Mix

We are all a mix of personalities. Just like a bag of “mix and match” sweets. We are born with a blank page that is being shaped by our family, childhood, environment, then we grow into a certain persona, we abandon or grow into that persona, we change it, we hate it, we don’t want to accept it, we like it, we embrace it. Bottom line, we go through a lot of feelings about ourselves. If one thinks we think a lot about the people we like, trust me, we think 100 times more about ourselves. And I don’t mean that in a vain way. Sometimes, maybe, but most of the times, we think about how our life is going, if there is something we can change to it, if we love it. Sometimes we even go all the way to think we could change it completely, just like that – new life, new me. But then we realise the “old me” is coming with us. I have met so many people that deny who they are, that don’t believe in themselves, that think of themselves worse than you would of a person you really despise. And I met people that are so comfortable with themselves, that live the life they want to live, that embrace that they cannot change some things, but they have all the power in the world on how they respond to whatever comes at them. And that makes the most impact on our lives, doesn’t it? The way we react to things. Life tends to thicken us, to make us hide our softness, to...
Spiky Sun

Spiky Sun

Hello darlings, I’m enjoying more and more these spring days. The sun has been rather spiky, but still it has made an appearance almost daily lately so I cannot complain (I live in England after all). As I said I will, I spent my weekend travelling and it was awesome. I had an urge to travel at least for a bit and this short trip fed my wanderlust…for now. Even though it was quite short, I had time to shoot some pictures so I will tell you more about the trip when I show you my travel outfit! Still, with the Awards Ceremony on Friday and the trip on Saturday & Sunday, this weekend left me longing for… a weekend haha! The lack of sleep starts slowly kicking in so I’m trying to manage my time the best way I can so that I get to rest at least the minimum that keeps me going. I don’t know about you, but when I am tired, all I want to wear is super cozy clothes and comfy shoes. Definitely comfy shoes. So I tend to go for a more casual sporty look. I had my eye on these type of shoes for a while now and at the beginning I didn’t know how I felt about them, then I started to like them and then I found these pretty white ones on sale in H&M and I thought I’d give them a go. There are one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever worn. Good investment – checked! I’ve noticed that lately I would go for this style...
