LFW: Take Me Back

LFW: Take Me Back

Hello babes, As I am touring Romania (check my insta for details!) I am sitting in my hotel room looking at graduation dresses and looking for inspiration in all the new collections that we’ve seen throughout fashion month. I’ve spammed my insta stories with them, so you have surely seen them! (sorry not sorry). So I thought as a throwback, I’ll share with you my London Fashion Week memories. I attended LFW for one day honouring an invitation to Paul Costelloe’s show, which was impressive beyond words. The dresses were beautiful and I wanted to buy every single one of them! For the show I wore an outfit inspired from Marta Jacubowski & Stella McCartney’s collections, presented earlier during Fashion Week. I went for something stylish, but also quite comfortable, an outfit ready to take me through Central Line at rush hour! And it worked, my heels were comfortable enough to take me through the day, even though the usual outfit ‘malfunction’ happened in the sens that my boots did not stay ‘over the knee’ throughout the day without my help here and there. But all in all, I enjoyed wearing my outfit, and that is the most important thing for me always, to wear a stylish outfit that gives me the confidence to enjoy my day without thinking too much about it. With that in mind, I’m off browsing some more outfits for my graduation – please let me know if you have any suggestions! Love, D. I was wearing: Skirt – H&M Shirt – Vintage Poncho – Vero Moda Necklace – Avon Boots – New Look Bag...
Sophia Webster – A Rising Star

Sophia Webster – A Rising Star

Hey loves, Today’s inspiration post is about young talent and hard work! Is about a designer who worked her way through university, and her talent got recognized and therefore she got really well-known! And no wonder she did, as soon as I found out about her, I fell for a pair of shoes created by her! So today I shall talk to you about a living proof that believing in yourself and your talent, combined with hard work does get you places! The designer I am talking about is Sophia Webster and she is a shoe designer that just launched her last collection at London Fashion Week yesterday! However, Sophia managed to be one of the London Fashion Week designers after a lot of work and exposure that got her amazing creations recognized! She graduated from a BA degree and a MA degree specialized in footwear that put her in the spotlight and brought her numerous awards, such as the British Fashion Award for Emerging Accessories Designer or the New Gen Award for all her first three seasons she launched! This beautiful piece above is still my favourite of her designs and has a pretty high place on my wish list! Even though it was launched for Autumn/Winter 2015, it is my number one! Buut, she launched a great collection yesterday as for Spring/Summer 2016 in a really interesting set and I am sure I can pick a few pieces to add on to my wish list from there too! Actually, what I like about her designs is that they are unique, but still wearable! It’s not one of...

Remake in the Sun

Helloooo!! So, the first part of my semester here in Belgium has come to an end and now it’s time for a long-waited vacation! The end of it came with an International Week which was fun, we got to visit a new city – pictures coming soon – and we went Ice Skating, which I love and missed and bowling, so it was definitely more fun than the first Project Week, but even so, got me really tired by the end of it, so I was lunging for this weekend! And so far it has been a really good one! It couldn’t have been any other way, since a really good friend came visiting, and expressing her chocolate crave all the time, so naming yesterday a “sweet” day is literally no exaggeration! However, this is the start of 2 relaxing weeks  and so many assignments to start writing on  so I really hope they’ll be good to me and that I’ll get to enjoy them to the max! As for today’s outfit, since I have seen some hope today, with a few sun rays trying to brake through, I decided to show you a remake of a wintery outfit that I really liked and that I wore in Worcester (here). And what better place for a summerish remake than Paris? Exactly, none. So in one of the Paris Fashion Week days, I decided to wear this lovely combination of colours that I adore: burgundy and that blue! Pure love! Of course, the hat and sunnies had to be a part of it too, but these were not the star...

Craving that Sun

I heard this saying that if you were born in the summer, you’re always craving sun and warm days. Well, I don’t know if it’s true or not, but it’s definitely the case for me, so that summer I was born must have been really hot, because I want warmth and sun all the time. No, literally all the time. And then I look at the countries I choose to live in, like United Kingdom and now Belgium, and do not reflect my love for sunny days at all! I think might reconsider this and make sure the next one is a sunny one! But then again, no complaints made, I do like these countries, a lot about them actually – except the weather! Anyway, I shall stop here or I will start feeling like an old lady who ran out of subjects so she’s discussing weather and let me tell you that it is not the case! When you’re talking about Paris you can’t run out of subjects! And yes, I am still talking about Paris! I am sorry, but I can’t help it! I still think it’s one of the prettiest cities in the world to have a city break in and my mind will probably not change soon! However, I am all about cherishing the moments, turning them into memories, but not living in the past, so I am not sad or anything, and I still enjoy the moment here, with all these lovely people around and all the good laughs we’re having, so I’m cool. The only thing that sometimes overwhelms me (and therefore makes...
D takes over Paris

D takes over Paris

Hi there! As promised yesterday, today I will tell you more about my days in Paris and how did I get there. And I’ll start with this: It was a really spontaneous trip. You know I do believe you keep discovering yourself and the things you want and why. So, I was telling you after my Amsterdam trip that I have realized that I enjoy travelling for many, many reasons (you can catch up here). However, I used to plan my trips to the last detail possible,  but it may be because of the age, because of the phase that I am going through and that I keep moving as a nomad from place to place that I just don’t seem to do that anymore. Amsterdam was unexpected, but still, planned 2 weeks in advance. Well, that was not the case for Paris. At all. I literally booked the tickets 2 days before, so on Monday they were booked, on Tuesday I was packing and on Wednesday I was gone. I had to try this. And I loved it! Being able to just get away and spend a few days with my bestie was amazing, and the fact that everything took place in Paris was over the top! Obviously, after a few days in the clouds the landing was not great, I am feeling extremely overwhelmed with the workload and the amount of sleep that I don’t get to catch up on. Hence the late night posting. But I am not complaining, it was totally worth it and I am sure I will get back on track in a...
