Barcelona Love

I started by telling you about the beach, then I shared with you my favourite place in Barcelona, the Gothic Quarter (El Gòtic), and so I had to conclude by showing you pictures of the whole city. I have really given it thoughts, and I truly believe it is a city where I could live. At least for a while. I could picture myself working then enjoying a walk on the beach at sunset. So, who knows, maybe that’s my next stop! This is a thing I truly enjoy about traveling! Each city gives you a different vibe. In some, I could picture myself living, like Barcelona, in some I could never see myself living, like Paris, but I’d never say no to a getaway there either. While some cities just stay with you forever, like my hometown, Cluj, and I would always go back to it again and again, only to discover that both me and the city have changed, but there will always be a bond to tie us together. Back to Barcelona, another thing that I love about it is that I can speak Spanish, and I love that! I can just walk up to someone and start talking! Something that clearly, I have been unable to do in Belgium! Yes, everyone speaks English eventually, but you just don’t feel like you blend in. When the native language is not one that I can speak I feel that I am forever a tourist, no matter for how long I am living in that place. And that kind of stays between me and that city and avoids creating...

Like A Boy

Long time, no see! Last time I was writing I was in Romania, enjoying what was an extremely welcomed and relaxing vacation! Now I am back in Belgium, still holding to that holiday feeling, and mostly thinking about the summer ahead, but assignments are bringing me back from the clouds and reminding me that they come first, and then summer, ugh… So, I have to “man up” and stop day dreaming and actually start doing them. So, in the light of this feeling, I am presenting to you today, this boyish outfit, because, well, sometimes you feel like giving up those cute, little skirts, and have a more serious look with a masculine-cut blazer and a bold attitude! You already know that I love blazers, so since I went home with little clothes, I indulged myself with a trip to my mum’s closet where I found this beauty and I decided that it has to take a walk with me! It’s impressive how creative you have to get when you don’t have your usual clothes with you and you find yourself in front of some old clothes that you left home and then you match them with some of my mum’s – thank God – inspired wardrobe! I actually like it, it’s a challenge to match things that you don’t have in mind; however, if I have to rush and I have to do this, you might not want to be in my way, as I will be having a nervous breakdown until I find what I want. And that’s where my manly look ends and my girly attitude...

Let it be Spring

I have been trying so hard to break through these gloomy, wintery outfits and move on to some spring, flowery looks. However, spring decided to be fashionably late, and so it makes me walk around covered-up in coats and scarfs… But this Sunday, I played the trick on Spring and took advantage of the sun rays that slipped through its hands and left my coat at home. Furthermore, I embraced some pale colours and even wore a flower in my hair – that’s how in the mood for spring I was! And still am, but waiting for the real sun, the sun that comes and stays. Either way, this passed weekend was amazing, I had a great friend who came bringing me some Worcester vibes and we made a mini-reunion with another friend who lives in Belgium, but clearly misses the Worcester vibes, as she had her exchange semester there. So all together we had some great laughs, a looot of waffles and we wandered around Leuven and Brussels, chatting the days away, as girls do! These pictures were shot while we were visiting the Botanical garden and luckily, the sun was up at the same time, so we enjoyed it! Can’t wait for some real spring outfits, without all the knitted coverage – that I love, but I am so ready for warmer times that I am ready to let it go! In the meantime, if you have seen my Instagram enthusiastic pics, you would have known by now that I took a Belgium break and I am back in my lovely hometown, Cluj, for the Easter holiday and...
Casualty

Casualty

If you are a student you know that, as Christmas approaches, so does the assignment season, so you find yourself, day after day, either in the library, or in a study centre, or even at home, but always with some essay to write, or with some presentation to prepare (if not, and rules for students are different where you are, and you only start the assignments after Christmas, consider yourself lucky!). I am sure you already figured it out, I am one of those students, and yes, I am spending most of my days in the library! So when one of my friends, who happens to be a professional photographer, asked me if I want to take a break from studying and go with her to shoot some pictures, you can imagine that my answer was a huge “YES” and I just ran to meet her! And the result is that I had a huge smile on my face during the whole photoshoot – mostly because she is a really joyful person, but the fact that she also was my sweet escape made me even happier! Therefore, there is no glam or “fancyness” in here, as none of these were planned, this is just a casual outfit that I’d wear on a day spent in the library! Little make-up, as I prefer a natural look and the perfect thing to make me feel cozy and warm: this beautiful cape! I just can’t get over my cape-crush, so I try to embrace them in every way possible! Taking it to the library is the best idea ever: you can cover...
