Hey guys, How crazy is it that it’s November already?? Man, time flies… I hope you’re well, happy and safe! I know I haven’t posted in a while, and I will talk reasons and more about it in my next posts, as well as all the new stuff that are coming up for Destray! Today, however, I would like to endlessly (just kidding) talk about the Balmain x H&M collection. I mean whaaaat?? This is actually happening!! As a forever fan of Balmain and a regular customer of H&M this is THE DREAM!! Yep, November just got even better! So, of course I had to share my enthusiasm and point out my favourite pieces! Basically, I want the whole collection haha! My wishlist got bigger quite quick, but if we’re talking favourites aka absolute musts – you can find mine below! I like everything about this collection, it shows attitude, it shows confidence, it shows all the characteristics of a Balmain woman! As always, Olivier Rousteing wants to make women that put on the clothes he designs feel powerful and entitled to run the world! Do you need any more reasons to want this collection? Well, if you do, you can have a look through my favourites below and visit the H&M website to see the whole collection! Don’t forget – 5th of November – save the date! I have always admired ballerinas and the grace which they dance with. They always put on a perfect show and don’t let you see the amount of hours that they worked and how many times they got hurt or didn’t get to eat because they were practising. All because of the amazing passion that they dance with. And even if the dance styles that I approached were far from ballet, I have always loved watching a ballet show, because they are all so pretty and classy, and they look fairytale-ish. And more than that, we all know ballet is not easy and that the dancers often go through a lot of pain while rehearsing. Even so, that pain is never seen, that struggle is never seen on stage. On stage, they play their characters to perfection. And more than the tutus (I always wanted one) and the beautiful dances, I admire their strength and discipline. Furthermore, how they teach themselves that strength and that discipline all because they love their passion and they want to succeed into fulfilling their dreams it’s truly impressive. And right here is what we all have to learn. That believing in our passion and working constantly into achieving our dreams by believing in ourselves and our passion is the key to being content with ourselves, with our work. I always try to remind myself that I have to keep going and believe in my passion, because it will eventually get me to where I want to be. And it’s hard sometimes, and letting go seems so handy sometimes, but I try to not embrace...

As I said on Monday, today I take Joan Holloway as a personal inspiration and show you my modern interpretation. I brought Joan in our times, but kept the classy touch. To keep the vibe, I wore an all vintage outfit, except for the Zara pumps, and strolled down the street with a Mad Men attitude. However, instead of making an old-style bun, I chose to drop the curls and straighten my hair, for a different look. My point is, an outfit inspired from a 60s – 70s look makes a great summer choice or an office look. If we’re talking about the classic pencil skirt and shirt combination, it’s all in the colours and the shirt chosen. I went for a summerish, flower print, tied around the waist shirt, and for a wider skirt in a bright colour, which made it perfect for a summer walk. That does not mean that in order to make it a great office look, you need to constrain yourself to dark colours. It can also have these colours, just choose a different shirt, maybe a simpler one, and don’t tie it. Also, for a more formal look, a bun might look better. It’s all about picking a bit of inspiration from here, a bit from there, and mixing it all in the end! I really liked this outfit and the classy touch that it has, so Joan for sure knew what she was doing when she was rocking those looks! Let me know what you think of finding inspiration in a series/ an older decade, if you like my interpretation and of...
