Happy International Women’s Day! I didn’t want for this day to pass without a little celebration here, on Destray, as well. I know I’ve been caught up in all my other projects and haven’t blogged for a bit, but hey, I am here today and I am very excited to celebrate every single woman for her amazing contribution to this world. I am lucky enough to have a tremendous amount of women that inspire me in my life, some whom I see daily, some whom are always in my heart, some whom I cross paths with and some whom I simply look up to from far away. I wanted to publish this post along with this photoshoot because I truly believe in Queen B’s lyrics (still love her, yes!) that “Diva is a female version of a hustler”. Or at least this is how I now perceive it. I used to be put down by the fact that people called me a diva, or bossy, or a workaholic, all these words seemed to be used to give me such a bad name, to make me feel bad for what I do, for who I am. But I have learned to listen to myself before I’ve listened to others, and now I just embrace who I am. Yes, I work a lot, yes, I aspire to be fully independent and yes, I am a hustler. And this is why I chose this shoot in particular. I didn’t want to post a pretty dress, heels and flowers, only because that’s how a post that celebrates women “should” look like. I wanted...

Hello there, I hope your weekend is going well and that you did at least one thing that made you relax and take your mind off things for a bit. After all, isn’t that what weekend is all about? About today’s post, I’ll be completely honest with you, I got the final edit of the pictures yesterday and I knew I wanted to post them today, but had no idea what to write about. I love the look, but it’s a casual one, it’s a look anyone can pull off and that doesn’t necessarily need an article to tell you the substance behind it. I still will, but you know, it’s a casual day outfit. What makes it dear to me is this bomber jacket as I wanted one for a while, but I wanted it to be a bit special, so this one has cute embroideries at the front aaand it’s pink. Yep, guilty. And the most special thing about this is that the choker I’m wearing is part of a yin-yang set with the second one being held by my bestie, so that we can be there for each other even when we are not physically together. So yes, a bit of substance behind it, I will give you that. But actually, while thinking what to write about while looking at these pictures I realised that it’s the “not knowing” element that makes everything better. I did not know where I am going when we shot these pictures. My friend and photographer took me to this little village and told me how cute it is. And it...

Hello darlings, It’s been a while now, so I figured it’s about time I share a snippet of my life around here. As you know, I have been on holiday – even though it feels like ages away now, it was awesome and relaxing and for once I got a tan whose lines are still with me, so even if I’m mad busy, they remind me of my relaxing days on the beach. My placement finished before my holiday so I thought that coming back will feel just like a second holiday with the Welcome Week coming up and all the free time that I would have as a student. But you know what they say, old habits die hard, so I came back committed to full days of work. They ended up being longer than my full time ones and all that combined with social life and seeing my friends once again and spending time planning for my Bright Futures society and playing volleyball – not much free time left, huh? I ended up being busier than usual, barely having any food or sleep, but still somehow being full of energy and enjoying every single day! The people I’ve met are all really lovely and they filled me up with good vibes and the power to keep going. Today I am also starting my lectures so dedicating some time to studying will also be in the schedule. It feels weird to not be in an office every day, I miss the team a lot! But I am excited to go back to being a student and having lectures...

I have always admired ballerinas and the grace which they dance with. They always put on a perfect show and don’t let you see the amount of hours that they worked and how many times they got hurt or didn’t get to eat because they were practising. All because of the amazing passion that they dance with. And even if the dance styles that I approached were far from ballet, I have always loved watching a ballet show, because they are all so pretty and classy, and they look fairytale-ish. And more than that, we all know ballet is not easy and that the dancers often go through a lot of pain while rehearsing. Even so, that pain is never seen, that struggle is never seen on stage. On stage, they play their characters to perfection. And more than the tutus (I always wanted one) and the beautiful dances, I admire their strength and discipline. Furthermore, how they teach themselves that strength and that discipline all because they love their passion and they want to succeed into fulfilling their dreams it’s truly impressive. And right here is what we all have to learn. That believing in our passion and working constantly into achieving our dreams by believing in ourselves and our passion is the key to being content with ourselves, with our work. I always try to remind myself that I have to keep going and believe in my passion, because it will eventually get me to where I want to be. And it’s hard sometimes, and letting go seems so handy sometimes, but I try to not embrace...

I have been trying so hard to break through these gloomy, wintery outfits and move on to some spring, flowery looks. However, spring decided to be fashionably late, and so it makes me walk around covered-up in coats and scarfs… But this Sunday, I played the trick on Spring and took advantage of the sun rays that slipped through its hands and left my coat at home. Furthermore, I embraced some pale colours and even wore a flower in my hair – that’s how in the mood for spring I was! And still am, but waiting for the real sun, the sun that comes and stays. Either way, this passed weekend was amazing, I had a great friend who came bringing me some Worcester vibes and we made a mini-reunion with another friend who lives in Belgium, but clearly misses the Worcester vibes, as she had her exchange semester there. So all together we had some great laughs, a looot of waffles and we wandered around Leuven and Brussels, chatting the days away, as girls do! These pictures were shot while we were visiting the Botanical garden and luckily, the sun was up at the same time, so we enjoyed it! Can’t wait for some real spring outfits, without all the knitted coverage – that I love, but I am so ready for warmer times that I am ready to let it go! In the meantime, if you have seen my Instagram enthusiastic pics, you would have known by now that I took a Belgium break and I am back in my lovely hometown, Cluj, for the Easter holiday and...
