Gut Feeling

Gut Feeling

Hello my dear, It’s September, the only time of the year apart from New Year’s Eve when people see it as a new beginning, school either ends or starts or there is a new job, a new place, a new opportunity that is being taken and a new chapter that opens. But with all that comes the doubting for the right decision, the doubting in your own powers, in your capabilities and in your chances. Not today. So to to that I have only one thing to say: you have to go with your gut feeling. I’m in a period of my life where I cannot doubt myself or overthink (mainly because my dissertation deadline is way too close for that but also) because this is it. University is over, trial is over, it’s time to step into the real world, take my inner child with me and find my way as an adult while going confidently in my direction and building a life that I love and that I will be able to say I am proud of. It’s that time when we all ask ourselves if we’ll make it, if it’s all worth it, and we start second guessing our gut feeling which got us here in the first place. But to solve this, I know I only have to say one thing: YES, I do trust my gut feeling. Yes, there will be a lot of trial and error, yes, sometimes I will need people to see the best in me while I won’t, and yes, sometimes I will change paths unexpectedly and start over, but...
The London Life

The London Life

If there’s one question I kept getting in the past few months, it has always been ‘How’s the London life?’ and it seemed like more and more people, both from the UK and from abroad, kept asking me the same question with either a very wishful smile of hope that they’ll soon live in London as well or with a scared look for London’s renowned rush. And since the topic kept coming up, I thought I’d share an article with my thoughts on that. I have actually been thinking about it for a while now, trying to ask myself this question over and over again – on the good days and on the bad days so that when I finally sit down to write the article I have an answer that embodies it all. I have always loved London, and you’d think ‘duuh, who doesn’t?’ but not everyone does, London is that one of a kind city, that you either love or hate, there’s rarely any in between. However, before living in London, I used to fall for it every single time I visited it, and I was always drawn in by its unique vibe. So living in London seemed a great idea, even if some deemed it scary or overwhelming. I knew, though, it’s something that I feel in my soul I’ll always want to experiment, so doing what I love – fashion – in the city that has drawn me in over and over again seemed the ideal combo! And it is – oh, dear, there’s not a single day where something new doesn’t happen, a new...
Parisienne

Parisienne

Bonjour mes amis, As I get comfy in my blanket on this crispy Sunday, I am thinking about my warmer days in Paris and so I thought it’s about time I share with you one of my outfits that I packed in my super small suitcase that got me to my graduation and from there to Paris, so had a mix of things – it did good though! Walks through Paris are always beautiful, I was like a kid smiling on the streets and stopping and starring at the architecture, it’s something that I always admired about Paris, and it’s what makes it unique as well. There is a top 3 things I want to do in Paris everytime I am there – walk around, eat from a boulangerie, and have an evening of wine and Macarons. And as rushed my trip seemed, I managed to do all these 3, while also attending classes at the Institut Français de la Mode. With my trip partner (who turned photographer for this post) being as in love with Paris as I am, all the wine, Macarons and cheese platters were always accompanied by laughter and good vibes! What made the trip special and more fashion focused was a trip to Kenzo’s new concept store and the story behind it as well as a visit to Yves Saint Laurent’s museum, which was extraordinary – if you are in Paris, you should definitely go! Unfortunately I did not manage to see Dior’s exhibition, but I managed to visit Colette before its shut down on 20th December so I am quite happy with all I’ve...
Bergen Brand UK launch

Bergen Brand UK launch

Hello there, So while getting better and catching up on things, I realised that I never told you about this great event I attended a few weeks ago. So here’s a little update… Bergen Brand is a well known brand originated in Norway. Bergen is a beautiful city that inspired Renate Stormark, the brand’s designer, to create timeless pieces that echo her values – quality and taste. It had its launch in the UK a few weeks ago at Wolf & Badger and the guests were mesmerized by the pieces and agreed that it’s a great added element to the London style. The event was a success and as I handled the Public Relations for it, I can say it was an amazing experience and I have met some inspiring people from the fashion industry! Have a look at how the event went and a few testimonials from the night here: As you can see, it was all joy and laughter, and guests were delighted with the designer and to see her great pieces. I believe London can only inspire her to further develop the brand and create new ‘must have’ pieces. Can’t wait to see what Renate has in store, but until then, here are some pictures from the event. Excited to show you what else I’ve been working on, so stick around! Hugs, D.   I was wearing: Dress – New Look Blazer – Vintage Shoes – Primark Pictures by Modele Production/Getty...
Frozen

Frozen

Hello darling, It’s almost the end of January. What? 2016 flew by so I was hoping 2017 will slow down but by the looks of it, no chance. Well, all we can do is roll with it. Or froze time. Can we? I have frozen my life for a bit. Thursday evening I finished work, ran to the trainstation and bam, gone. Exams, assignments, work, all the stress that came with it, that mental breakdown that was chasing me, left everything behind and went to my best relief – my best friends. We’ve had another lovely reunion, they heard me rant (sorry) and we laughed as much as we usually do when we meet up (hint – a lot). This time we spiced it up and went to a concert, Rae Sremmurd, babyyyy, it was lit. Literally. Loved it! So I had my well deserved and so much awaited break. Now I’m back in Worcester and ready for a week full of work, but also, a lot of creative ideas. I figured until I’m back to classes I might as well feed my ideas and do some creative stuff as well. So stay tuned. And these pictures were the perfect ones to represent this article – when we took these pictures in the middle of Cluj, back when I was on holiday, everything was frozen around us, it’s like the time has stopped, the view was just magical. And this red coat just stood out perfectly! Yes, you’ve guessed right, it’s my mum’s. Sometimes I feel trhat she’s the one that should be writing the blog, since...
