Good morning, my darlings! I am a strong believer in the fact that everything happens for a reason. I also believe that things happen at the time they are meant to happen but also that you have to work your a** off to get to your goals and dreams. See how these two are not always aligned? Like do I wait for things to happen or do I go for it? It’s been on my mind lately as it’s something that has always confused me. However, I think I have recently reached my conclusion. No one will ever be able to tell me that if you work hard, you don’t succeed. In one way or another. Sooner or later. Just as planned or completely different. But you succeed. Listen to any successful person you admire and you will see the word ‘WORK’ will come up in their speeches, A LOT. Now about the other side where you wait for things to happen, I think we should see it more like we look forward to things happening rather than we wait around, because that ‘looking forward’ thing does not mean you stop working until that happens and literally just wait around. One of Oprah’s inspiring interviews came up on my feed the other day and she was saying that you have to be ready for when your opportunity comes along. And I completely believe in that! Wait but know your breakthrough is coming, so that you don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s and wonder why yours isn’t as successful, because if I learnt something, is that you are not...

Hello darlings, It’s been a while now, so I figured it’s about time I share a snippet of my life around here. As you know, I have been on holiday – even though it feels like ages away now, it was awesome and relaxing and for once I got a tan whose lines are still with me, so even if I’m mad busy, they remind me of my relaxing days on the beach. My placement finished before my holiday so I thought that coming back will feel just like a second holiday with the Welcome Week coming up and all the free time that I would have as a student. But you know what they say, old habits die hard, so I came back committed to full days of work. They ended up being longer than my full time ones and all that combined with social life and seeing my friends once again and spending time planning for my Bright Futures society and playing volleyball – not much free time left, huh? I ended up being busier than usual, barely having any food or sleep, but still somehow being full of energy and enjoying every single day! The people I’ve met are all really lovely and they filled me up with good vibes and the power to keep going. Today I am also starting my lectures so dedicating some time to studying will also be in the schedule. It feels weird to not be in an office every day, I miss the team a lot! But I am excited to go back to being a student and having lectures...

Hi loves, Hope everything is going well, and January is giving you the start of the year that you were hoping for or even more than that! As I always say, my style is constantly changing, and chances are I will not be super happy about my outfit choices from a few years ago (what was I even wearing??) and that’s because I am in a continuous change too. So it’s only fair. If last year I had a major crush on jewellery and I still own quite a few pieces, lately I truly felt the meaning of less is more. I fell for minimalism. For simple cuts, for less print and more monochrome. Don’t get me wrong, I have not given up on colours, nor have I stopped wearing jewellery. But from time to time, I feel like keeping it simple. A lot of people see minimalism purely as black and white, but I believe minimalism is more than that. You can be monochrome in bright yellow too. It’s not as much about the colour, as it is about the way you wear it and what you wear it with. I cannot really say why I have fallen into this minimalistic phase. I know one of my best friends is defined by this, and it probably influenced me. But more than that, it might be the rushed lifestyle. The desire to look good with minimum effort. That’s where the name comes from, right? Also, I believe minimalism is classy, is stylish. And even if I am not going to give up my prints entirely and half my wardrobe...

Hi pumpinks, I really embraced this fall thing, didn’t I? I dropped the Cinderella and became the pumpkin! No, kidding, I’m not leaving the princesshood so easy, but you know, being pumpkin undercover feels just right some times. So I put my sneakers on, a loose ponytail, a huge, long jacket and I am ready to roll! I know you think I am crazy, but I swear it’s not me, it’s all the coffee I drank lately and all the work that I have to do! I never really got around to telling you why I came back to Worcester so early. It is because I am working this year – full time – I got a placement (yoohoo!) and so no more student life for me for a year (yeah right, wait ’till all the students are back – I’ll have both of both worlds!). So yes, I am working full time, and apart from that I got involved, as I do, in everything possible, so at the moment I have my job, this baby blog and 3 more undergoing roles that require my attention. And I haven’t even started volleyball or boxing yet. It’s going to be hectiiiiic. So, come again about that student life? But hey, I actually admitted that I am a workaholic, so that’s the first step. But actually, I like to believe that I am the good type of workaholic, that still manages to keep some time for herself, to enjoy a nice dinner with friends or to dance endlessly on a night out! So I am not rushing anywhere. I keep reminding...

Hi darlings, How is your week going? Not long now until Friday is here, and, if you are from England, you know a 3 days weekend is coming, whoo! Maybe you have plans already or maybe you plan on being spontaneous, either way, I only hope you will enjoy some free time and fill yourself up with good energy. However, there is still some time to go until then, so I prepared an urban outfit for today. And it does include a bit of DYI or to be more precise, how to give a cool vibe to a dress and transform it into a sleeveless coat, perfect for fall and oh, so trendy! I really find these transformations helpful because I do get bored of wearing some clothes the same old way, but I still like them, so I think it’s a good way of reinventing them! What do you think about them? Would you try that? I think it gave a bit of uniqueness to this shirt and jeans outfit. Have a look through the pictures and let me know! I hope you’re enjoying the day, have a great Friday and I’ll see you with a new post on Saturday! Lots of love, D. I was wearing: Jeans – H&M Shirt – Zara Dress turned into Sleeveless Coat – Vintage Sandals – New Yorker Sunglasses – Tatler Bag – No particular brand Watch – Calvin Klein Ring – H&M Pictures by Catalina...
