Are you working on your dreams?

Are you working on your dreams?

Hello dear, How’s life treating you? How are you treating life? Through this windmill of rushed events and emotions that we call life, have you stopped to think about your dreams lately? Have you done a little step towards them? Have you checked how your resolutions are going? I am asking you all these things because a few weeks ago I suddenly stopped and asked myself the same. And I was disappointed to find out that I have put some dreams on hold, that I have slowly stepped away from my self care routine and that I have left procrastination get the best of me. And after I realised that, I took a break and went home to relax. You must be laughing at me right now, but hear me out. I went home and I was filled with love, peace and a reassurance that it will all be fine. And while my batteries were being recharged, I started looking at my life and at how I can include some small steps towards my dreams in my schedule. And so when I came back, I was refreshed, I started planning out my weeks in advance so there’s no risk for (too much) procrastination. And most importantly, I started dreaming again. My creative self was given a boost of energy and now I am back at working on myself and on my dreams. Why am I telling you this? Because more often than not we found ourselves drained by the daily life, we feel like we don’t have the time or the energy to do anything else anymore and so...
The London Life

The London Life

If there’s one question I kept getting in the past few months, it has always been ‘How’s the London life?’ and it seemed like more and more people, both from the UK and from abroad, kept asking me the same question with either a very wishful smile of hope that they’ll soon live in London as well or with a scared look for London’s renowned rush. And since the topic kept coming up, I thought I’d share an article with my thoughts on that. I have actually been thinking about it for a while now, trying to ask myself this question over and over again – on the good days and on the bad days so that when I finally sit down to write the article I have an answer that embodies it all. I have always loved London, and you’d think ‘duuh, who doesn’t?’ but not everyone does, London is that one of a kind city, that you either love or hate, there’s rarely any in between. However, before living in London, I used to fall for it every single time I visited it, and I was always drawn in by its unique vibe. So living in London seemed a great idea, even if some deemed it scary or overwhelming. I knew, though, it’s something that I feel in my soul I’ll always want to experiment, so doing what I love – fashion – in the city that has drawn me in over and over again seemed the ideal combo! And it is – oh, dear, there’s not a single day where something new doesn’t happen, a new...
Checking In

Checking In

Hello my dear, As you’ve probably noticed on my Instagram I have been checking in and out of airports and hotels lately so I thought I’d check in here as well and give you my latest updates as I’ve been absent from the blogosphere for a bit. As much as the blog is on my mind every single day, I had to move it further down my priorities list so I haven’t posted as often as I would have liked to. However, I have been shooting outfits, brainstorming content ideas and I have some concepts so good that I just know you’ll love them! But as you probably already know by now, I’m quite self critical and so my work has to reach a certain standard – mine! Which is probably the harshest of them all! So it’ll be a while until I implement all the changes, but when I do, they’ll look just how I want them. Until then, while I (try to) stay on top of my busy lifestyle, I thought I’d share with you this outfit that goes easily from day to night, allows you to run around doing errands and ticking things off your to-do list, all while looking well put together, and when the night comes, just take the blazer off and you’re ready to catch the happy hour! In all seriousness now, I’ve found that living in a busy city while being a busy girl really means that your outfits need to be very versatile, especially when working in the fashion industry – you never know what event you might end up to after...
Game Time

Game Time

Hey dear, I cannot believe how time flies and it’s already February as I’m writing this. And at the same time, January felt like a year in itself. Mixed feelings. Either way you look at it, if you think January took its sweet time or that you basically rang NYE straight into February, I think we can all agree with the forever going around quote – January was a trial month, February is game time. So, how’s the game going? With the Super Bowl just gone and quite a few good football games this weekend, it seemed appropriate to ask. However, I am not talking about them, we all know football/soccer game reviews can take pages, so I’ll stick to my subject. How’s the resolution plan going? Did you manage to start ticking things off the list? Well, let me tell you my status. I started January very motivated, like damn, this is my year. And that mood hasn’t changed, I am still on track to making it my year although, I did spend most of my January in the library, breathing and dreaming about my assignments only and the rest of the time, recovering. So, my motivation was there, but somehow, I was lacking time. So I used this trial month to reflect and decide I need my planning to be even more specific and timely. It’s all about SMART goals, peeps aka Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and in a Time frame kinda goals, in case you missed the Marketing class, I explained it all when I set my resolutions – see them here. So now that January...
Hometown Spell

Hometown Spell

Hi there, Hope you’ve managed to get back into the rhythm with work, school or any other cool stuff you’re doing and that your January is all smooth sailing! Because let me tell you… I thought mine would be, but clearly it isn’t. Not sure if I need to learn a lesson this month or if I have just purely forgotten how to adult, but maaaan it has not been easy to be back. I haven’t been home for such a long period of time for a couple of years now so of course I jumped at the opportunity to be home once I had it. But if you’re like me, you know that being home is nothing like your usual life. First of all, I always announce my family that when I am back I am the child of the family and I should be treated as such. I hang up my independent lifestyle as soon as I step into the house and from then on I am doing as told or being as playful and childish as I wish, because it’s the place where I can be that and nothing bad will happen aka I’ll miss uni or won’t pay attention at work or do the – oh so boring – household maintenance such as laundry and shopping for cleaning stuff and so on. Okay, I’m joking, I’m still acting as an adult, but I’m just taking it easy, you know? But this time, when I got back I just forgot how to switch ‘home mode’ off and I stayed it that easy mood as if someone...
Back to Business

Back to Business

Hey you, How’s 2018 so far? Did you get back into your rhytm after holidays, lots of food, sleep, parties and family time? Don’t worry, it takes a bit, take your time, you’ll get there. That’s what I’m telling myself as well, I had a slow start to the year, but it allowed me to really think things through and figure out what I want to focus on this year. It also allowed me to spend more time with my family, my close friends who recharged me and gave me plenty of energy to last me a while, hopefully until I see them again. I did less work that I had set myself to do because I thought spending time with them and all this recharging is more beneficial and it will also allow me, when I get back to things, to start again strong and go full speed ahead! So now that slow motion start is going on fast forward and I’m ready to get back to business and go make 2018 my year. I’m currently at the airport, ready to board, and I must say, this is my favourite place to write articles. I’m in ‘no man’s land’ with a destination ahead and hopes and dreams that need some work done for them to come true. Also, this is the airport where I’ve had the saddest departures and happiest arrivals, so it kinda became my place where I think about my life, make plans, set goals. Hope you’re ready to work your way through this year and make it your best yet! Don’t forget to also enjoy...
