Cozy

Cozy

Hello there gorgeous, How has your week been so far? Have you started the weekend in style? Weekends have always been the week’s treats, we all know that, but ever since I started working full time, I began to appreciate them even more! And not because Saturday and Sunday are the days when I am not working, because most of the time, that is not the case, but because they are the days when I can sleep in and be cozy a little longer. I doubt this comes as a surprise, but in case you had no idea, I am not exactly a morning person. Not even, I am not a morning person at all. However, I used to be! I used to have no problems waking up every single day for school, but after university and chaotic schedules, that ability went away, it completely vanished! Unfortunately, now I am a person with multiple alarms in the morning that struggles to get out of bed. Which might also affect my capability of being on time, but that’s to be talked about in another post… I know me not being a morning person counteracts with being a workaholic and with hustling hard, but I think we all work differently. I work very well in the afternoon and I am most creative in the evening, hence my inability to get out of bed in the mornings… Either way, Saturdays translate to cozy days and start with a late morning in. So guess how today started? And if they include getting out of the house, what better way to continue the coziness...
Minimalistic

Minimalistic

Hi loves, Hope everything is going well, and January is giving you the start of the year that you were hoping for or even more than that! As I always say, my style is constantly changing, and chances are I will not be super happy about my outfit choices from a few years ago (what was I even wearing??) and that’s because I am in a continuous change too. So it’s only fair. If last year I had a major crush on jewellery and I still own quite a few pieces, lately I truly felt the meaning of less is more. I fell for minimalism. For simple cuts, for less print and more monochrome. Don’t get me wrong, I have not given up on colours, nor have I stopped wearing jewellery. But from time to time, I feel like keeping it simple. A lot of people see minimalism purely as black and white, but I believe minimalism is more than that. You can be monochrome in bright yellow too. It’s not as much about the colour, as it is about the way you wear it and what you wear it with. I cannot really say why I have fallen into this minimalistic phase. I know one of my best friends is defined by this, and it probably influenced me. But more than that, it might be the rushed lifestyle. The desire to look good with minimum effort. That’s where the name comes from, right? Also, I believe minimalism is classy, is stylish. And even if I am not going to give up my prints entirely and half my wardrobe...
Sophia Webster – A Rising Star

Sophia Webster – A Rising Star

Hey loves, Today’s inspiration post is about young talent and hard work! Is about a designer who worked her way through university, and her talent got recognized and therefore she got really well-known! And no wonder she did, as soon as I found out about her, I fell for a pair of shoes created by her! So today I shall talk to you about a living proof that believing in yourself and your talent, combined with hard work does get you places! The designer I am talking about is Sophia Webster and she is a shoe designer that just launched her last collection at London Fashion Week yesterday! However, Sophia managed to be one of the London Fashion Week designers after a lot of work and exposure that got her amazing creations recognized! She graduated from a BA degree and a MA degree specialized in footwear that put her in the spotlight and brought her numerous awards, such as the British Fashion Award for Emerging Accessories Designer or the New Gen Award for all her first three seasons she launched! This beautiful piece above is still my favourite of her designs and has a pretty high place on my wish list! Even though it was launched for Autumn/Winter 2015, it is my number one! Buut, she launched a great collection yesterday as for Spring/Summer 2016 in a really interesting set and I am sure I can pick a few pieces to add on to my wish list from there too! Actually, what I like about her designs is that they are unique, but still wearable! It’s not one of...

Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself

Hi darlings, How’s your week going? Getting excited for the weekend? I say today we take things slowly, one thing at a time, step by step, and try to enjoy the journey. Every time I see that quote “People wait all week for Friday, all year for summer, all life for happiness” it just haunts me, because if we get carried away, we might actually get to spend our lives like that, waiting for better times, and I refuse that. Ever since I have come to England I have pretty much been on my own in my spare time and so it gave me a lot of time to think and of course overthink so many things. And I will be honest with you, all this thinking did not always have a good outcome. Yes, I usually am positive and confident, but, as all human beings I do break down sometimes. Because I am tired, because things don’t work, because, because… There will always be something. Or sometimes, my case really, it’s just little things that won’t work or that get me worried and so, make me put my life decisions into perspective. And that’s when all the questions start rolling in my head: did I take the right decision? should I have done that? or that? And I start getting my head around all these until I put myself down. And it’s not ok… I am all for encouraging yourself and giving yourself the courage and the determination to go for it and make bold decisions, but then, when does that empowerment ┬áturn into self-criticism? My friends always...
