Back to Business

Hey you, How’s 2018 so far? Did you get back into your rhytm after holidays, lots of food, sleep, parties and family time? Don’t worry, it takes a bit, take your time, you’ll get there. That’s what I’m telling myself as well, I had a slow start to the year, but it allowed me to really think things through and figure out what I want to focus on this year. It also allowed me to spend more time with my family, my close friends who recharged me and gave me plenty of energy to last me a while, hopefully until I see them again. I did less work that I had set myself to do because I thought spending time with them and all this recharging is more beneficial and it will also allow me, when I get back to things, to start again strong and go full speed ahead! So now that slow motion start is going on fast forward and I’m ready to get back to business and go make 2018 my year. I’m currently at the airport, ready to board, and I must say, this is my favourite place to write articles. I’m in ‘no man’s land’ with a destination ahead and hopes and dreams that need some work done for them to come true. Also, this is the airport where I’ve had the saddest departures and happiest arrivals, so it kinda became my place where I think about my life, make plans, set goals. Hope you’re ready to work your way through this year and make it your best yet! Don’t forget to also enjoy...
Cape for Fall

Cape for Fall

Hi loves, Are you as excited for Friday as I am? Or is it just because of all the coffees I’ve had? Let’s leave that unanswered… So as we’re getting more into the fall season, I am back to my ultimate fall crush – capes! But as I don’t see fall as depressing or sad, I thought I’d spice it up with a bit of colour! Burgundy is known for being a good colour for fall and a perfect match with beige, but that would just be usual. To make the outfit stand out a bit, as it’s a really simple one – really, I had to add a bit of electric purple and bring back my favourite bargain ever – the cool sunglasses. If you love them as much as I do, you can see other outfits here & here. And with that, I wanted to prove once again that one accessory can change a boring – or let’s call it plain – outfit in a cool one. So on those days when you feel like inspiration is failing you, always think about the accessories that you have, they can truly save the day! Also, another tip is to think how else you can wear your items, so that they don’t keep looking the same. For example, I decided to not tie this cape, which I usually do, so the outfit had a different end look! As always, the best advice is to be creative and be bold to wear what you want, how you want! On another note, I am getting better (whooo) and busier (whooo) but...
Mademoiselle à Paris

Mademoiselle à Paris

Ahh, the Saturday feeling! You know what I mean, the moment you know it’s weekend, your whole body and mind gets into a let’s-just-chill state and no matter how much you try (and I am really trying, because I have work to do) you just can’t get out of it! This state starts on Friday for me, as I have the day off here, in Belgium, and so I spend it accompanied by some really chill beats and so it lasts for the whole weekend. And so I am today. And that just brings up memories, brings me back to my long weekend in Paris, when I couldn’t care less what day it is and if there is anything that has a deadline soon or not. My first Paris Fashion week experience was really nice, got to see people, to meet new people, to decide what I want to do and what path I want to take in my career. Or at least an idea. I guess there’s always a little spark that comes up and gives me a new idea, so I have no idea what the final one will be. Anyways, I loved dressing up in Paris. I felt like I could dress up, wear heels, wear oversized layered outfits, like this one, and still fit in, while standing out. It’s an amazing feeling, because you get to express your style and your personality, but you are not being judged by it, and I haven’t encountered that everywhere I have been. Obviously, people become more open-minded and more laid back, but still, it’s in these big fashion...
Throwback Time

Throwback Time

It’s weekend again, but this time the weather is not that nice! I haven’t seen a pretty sun in a few good days now and I really miss it! However, this weather reminds me of Worcester, of England… All this wind and rain and this gloomy atmosphere will always stand for British weather in my head! That is the only thing that I am not enjoying when living in England and the main thing that I was hoping to not encounter in Belgium, but, well, I think this didn’t go as planned. But, as you know, a cloudy day is the time when memories come back to you, so I thought it was the perfect time to share with you these pictures from the last photoshoot I had in Worcester a couple of days before leaving. To be honest, I was meant to post them before I left, as I had a bittersweet feeling about leaving and starting over again, but because of technical issues, I was not able to get hold of the pictures before I left so I got them later on. I really like this little hill, it’s the perfect space to see the whole Worcester and as you can imagine, it was a great “last place to be” for me! To be fair, I started this experience with not knowing what to expect, a bit reluctant to changing my temporary home again and right before leaving – not sure if it was the right thing to do anymore. So I was happy to discover that it was indeed one of my best decisions, I am...
Casualty

Casualty

If you are a student you know that, as Christmas approaches, so does the assignment season, so you find yourself, day after day, either in the library, or in a study centre, or even at home, but always with some essay to write, or with some presentation to prepare (if not, and rules for students are different where you are, and you only start the assignments after Christmas, consider yourself lucky!). I am sure you already figured it out, I am one of those students, and yes, I am spending most of my days in the library! So when one of my friends, who happens to be a professional photographer, asked me if I want to take a break from studying and go with her to shoot some pictures, you can imagine that my answer was a huge “YES” and I just ran to meet her! And the result is that I had a huge smile on my face during the whole photoshoot – mostly because she is a really joyful person, but the fact that she also was my sweet escape made me even happier! Therefore, there is no glam or “fancyness” in here, as none of these were planned, this is just a casual outfit that I’d wear on a day spent in the library! Little make-up, as I prefer a natural look and the perfect thing to make me feel cozy and warm: this beautiful cape! I just can’t get over my cape-crush, so I try to embrace them in every way possible! Taking it to the library is the best idea ever: you can cover...
