Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Hello darlings, Merry Christmaaaaas! I hope everyone’s Christmas is amazing and that you are spending it with people you love and that you took a moment to slow down this rush we live in and to appreciate the people around you. Appreciate what they do for you throughout the year, what they do for the world, how they make it a better place for you to live in. I am sure there is at least on person, family, friend, even a stranger that deserves a thank you and some kind words. As I grew up, I realised that Christmas was less about the presents that got me so excited as a kid, and more about me being blessed enough to be able to spend it with my family, to have a few days of appreciation towards them and their support, to step back and realise how much I have and how little others have and really think about it, you know? I let it sink in and I let it make me a better person and a more grateful person. We get lost sometimes in the rush for a goal, for a good degree, for a great job, for our dreams. And you know how vocal I am about people following their dreams! But you have to slow down and appreciate that people are still with you through it, they still love you, they still stand by you, even in your rush. And that is something that I really cherrish. Family is everything and I always put it first. And moreover, this year, I realised who are the friends...
Birmingham Christmas Market

Birmingham Christmas Market

Hi guys, How have you been? It’s been freezing lately, and I am finally starting to understand that winter is here – that’s it, there’s no turning back. Or is it? It’s England, so it might just turn sunny all of a sudden, you never know. Either way, upgrading my winter wardrobe is in the books, so I shall go for a shopping session soon. And of course, share with you my picks – no worries, I’ll keep you posted! But, as November ends, apart from outfit shopping, we all know it comes the exciting part of the year – buying Christmas presents!! Aaand along with the window shopping that we’ve all been doing so far (you know it) there is this pretty cute thing that also comes around called Christmas Market! If you haven’t been to one, it should definitely be on your wishlist! It’s like entering a totally different, Christmassy, fairytalish world where everything is decorated to match the theme, the stalls are full of hand crafted pretty little things or very tempting food! And not to be forgotten – the mulled wine, hot chocolate and the chestnuts! Those are my favourite part of any Christmas fair! Last Sunday we went to visit the Christmas Market in Birmingham, which is a German one, and, as every year, it didn’t disappoint! It got all of this, and a cozy atmosphere, with Christmas songs and even a live singer! Spending a day at a Christmas Market with good friends made my Sunday great! Now that I think about it, when I was back in Romania, I never got excited...

Back Home for Christmas

I am so glad and grateful to be coming home for the holidays! As soon as I got in the house I could feel that “home” feeling and it filled me with joy and brought a smile on my face that didn’t go away yet and doesn’t seem to dissapear any time soon. But, apart from being at home, enjoying time with my family and catching up with good friends (and having lots of hot chocolates) what I also enjoy about coming back from Christmas is that I get to wear those clothes that I didn’t take with me. Those clothes that give me a feeling of comfort and well-being. Like this sweater for example – it is a vintage sweater that I simply adore wearing during winters! It’s cozy, it’s long and a bit baggy, so it is just perfect to keep you comfortable all day long! Oh and on top of that, it has sparkling stones and glittery words on it, so what more to ask? My point is, when I come home, especially for Christmas, I want to feel good on top of looking good, I want to create memories to take with me, I want to laugh as hard as I can with my friends and I want to share special moments with my family. This is what I want from my holidays, and this is what I am wishing you too! Love, peace, great people around you and special moments to be remembered! So I will wear my cozy sweaters, my long-forgotten heeled boots that I rediscovered and I will hit the town with...
5 Christmas Gifts for a Fashionista

5 Christmas Gifts for a Fashionista

Christmas is right around the corner! Some would say we’re already running out of time for buying gifts, but don’t panic, I am coming to the rescue for the ones that are kind of stuck and don’t know what to buy to their fashion-addicted girlfriend/wife/mum/sister/friend etc. So, let’s get it started… 1. A Chanel bag This is forever going to be my number one and actually I don’t really expect it as a gift, as I want to buy it myself, but as I know a lot of people that want it, I am sure you can’t fail with this gift. A Chanel bag is always a choice, no matter the occasion, just point to a fashionista that would say no to it! 2. A piece of Alexander Wang x H&M collection The collection is a masterpiece, so it’s impossible to not want something from it, so run and buy her something from it, or if she already has some, complete her collection, you won’t hear a negative reaction, I promise! 3. Ed Westwick’s “I AM ALL ABOUT THAT BASS” sweat shirt Is there something else I should say? I have been waiting for this since Gossip Girl ended, and now with Megan’s song, this came at a perfect time! And on top of it, parts of the proceeds go to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. So, you’re getting the Bass and doing a good thing! Hurry up, 5 days left:¬†https://represent.com/ed 4. Something from Beyonce’s shop Something, anything: either she’s mad about having the platinum edition of the album or she wants one of the amazing T-shirts or the “Flawless”...
Evening walk

Evening walk

You know when you get really, really busy and you don’t have enough time left to do the pictures in the day light? What do you do? You do them in the evening! Finally I have a bit of spare time in my crazy schedule (still after dawn, as you can see) so I did what I love most which is walking around the city with no special purpose in mind! And while I was at it, I realised how Christmassy the city is getting! Lights are coming up, “Jingle Bells” can be heard from the cafes, shops become fairytale places all of a sudden, and all of this just brings a smile on my face and makes me get into the holiday spirit! I love Christmas, I feel like it’s a holiday that brings people close together, and even if it may be a bit too early to think of it, the city just whispers smoothly that Christmas is slowly coming! So, for my evening walk I chose a black & white outfit matched with a long, red coat! I always love to add up a red thing, I feel like it brightens up the whole outfit, and therefore my mood too! This time I included the bag too, choosing this red/black purse to go with, and the usual smile that completes everything! Of course I was attracted by the all-white shops and their cozy feeling, so I already spotted some Christmas presents, but shhh, it’s a surprise! How is your weekend going, darlings? I hope you have a bit of time for yourself, because I can definitely...
