Improvising

Improvising

Hello darlings, As yesterday I showed you some of my favourite co-ords, today I am showing you my own one! It might be because I started working and I like office looks even more now, but I really love co-ords and I think there is one for every occasion! As I told you, I am searching for more to add on to my collection, but until then, I created one with garments I barely remembered I possess! And yes, I am a fan of this colour, and I really loved how they worked together! So, as a little tip, have a quick search through your wardrobe and you might be surprised of how many co-ords you already have *wink wink*. As I did not want the outfit to be too plain, I also added a bit of floral print, but in some neutral colours – to keep it simple! You know – less is more! Literally, everything fitted perfectly with this look! I mean, this new bag I bought together with the burgundy one is black so goes with loads of things, but look how great its zipper effect complements the zipper of the skirt! I know, it’s impressive! So today’s life lesson from fashion – you never know how pieces will fall together, they might surprise you and make a perfect combination, so don’t lose hope! Hugs and kisses, D. Untold 2015 //Day 4

Untold 2015 //Day 4

Hello darlings, As I keep telling you, Untold was an amazing experience and I cannot wait for next year’s edition! The last day amazed the crowd with a great ending – lights, animations, fireworks – it was perfect! And well, since we’re talking about the last day, it means we reached the end of my Untold outfit series, but not to worry, I am here to end this in style! This outfit was my favourite! It was the most feminine one and I was really looking forward to wearing it! During the festival, I mostly wore casual, comfy things, mostly branded, so they were not something unusual, they were something accessible to everyone. I needed a bit of originality and uniqueness. And so I wore this beeeeaaauuutifuuul dress!! I literally love it so much! It has a great print, those amazing cuts and that chic, girly, vibe. It’s just dreamy! And it was a real success! Everyone asked me where I got it from, and got all curious about it! But now there’s a little secret to it. I got it from my “back up storage of cool things”. I most certainly told you about it before, didn’t I? Well, I will tell you again! It’s my mum’s amazing taste in fashion and her great instinct of not throwing away any of these beautiful pieces, until I run through them. Yes, you got it right. It’s a vintage piece that belonged to my mum, and which I reinvented by customizing it and matching it to my style and voilà – a fresh piece that can easily fit into today’s...
A Modern Touch

A Modern Touch

As I said on Monday, today I take Joan Holloway as a personal inspiration and show you my modern interpretation. I brought Joan in our times, but kept the classy touch. To keep the vibe, I wore an all vintage outfit, except for the Zara pumps, and strolled down the street with a Mad Men attitude. However, instead of making an old-style bun, I chose to drop the curls and straighten my hair, for a different look. My point is, an outfit inspired from a 60s – 70s look makes a great summer choice or an office look. If we’re talking about the classic pencil skirt and shirt combination, it’s all in the colours and the shirt chosen. I went for a summerish, flower print, tied around the waist shirt, and for a wider skirt in a bright colour, which made it perfect for a summer walk. That does not mean that in order to make it a great office look, you need to constrain yourself to dark colours. It can also have these colours, just choose a different shirt, maybe a simpler one, and don’t tie it. Also, for a more formal look, a bun might look better. It’s all about picking a bit of inspiration from here, a bit from there, and mixing it all in the end! I really liked this outfit and the classy touch that it has, so Joan for sure knew what she was doing when she was rocking those looks! Let me know what you think of finding inspiration in a series/ an older decade, if you like my interpretation and of...
Spotlight on Valentino

Spotlight on Valentino

Hey, hey! New week, new inspiration that I am looking forward to share with you! So, this morning I woke up really early and after a crazy week, I finally managed to do a morning workout and I am really hoping that I get to keep this habit, because it fills me with enough energy to last the whole day! Anywaysss, while being really productive and everything, I was checking my Instagram feed and lots of pictures from @maisonvalentino appeared in my feed featuring images from their spring campaign. After double tapping on many of them, I decided that I really want to see the whole collection, so I searched for it and found some amazing dresses that need sharing! You know me, all girly and stuff, I love dresses and floral prints and when this morning the sun was shining (even if it was freezing) and I saw these pictures I got a feeling of spring! All these floral prints, simple cuts , pretty collars and lace details got me thinking of next season, so now I cannot wait for a warmer weather to allow me to walk around in pretty dresses and surrounded by blossoming flowers! Well, anyway, until then, I will just look at these pictures and think about enhancing my spring wardrobe! Enjoy my favourite looks from the Valentino Spring collection 2015 and I will see you soon with a new outfit post! Have a lovely week, D. Photos by...
