Untold 2015 //Day 1

Untold 2015 //Day 1

Hey, dears! As promised, starting today I am sharing my outfits from Untold Festival. For those that do not know, Untold is a festival that took place in my hometown, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. It was the peak of the celebratory year of Cluj being the European Youth Capital for 2015. The festival had names as John Newman, Tinie Tempah, Lost Frequencies or Tom Odell singing to their great beats, but the ones that had the whole stadium full, and who were the most waited ones were Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Avicii, Armin Van Buuren and David Guetta. They all played some amazing sets and got the crowds excited every night of the festival! Accompanied by lights, fireworks, on screen animations and warmed up by Fat Boy Slim as an MC, the shows were stunning! But more about the festival in the next post, for now, let’s focus on the outfit… I started Untold with a casual, laid-back, I would say even a cliché outfit for a festival. Jeans shirt, casual dress and boots – a really comfy look to be dancing in until the morning hours! Oh, that vintage shirt – that is like a piece I just can’t let go of, it’s so comfy and gives you such a cool look, being so loose, that I think I might be holding on to it forever haha! And of course, as I did not want it so plain, I accessorized it, and then added a temporay tattoo on the spot. Oh, and that smile, was just the happiness that you got from everyone around. It was a really cool...

Like A Boy

Long time, no see! Last time I was writing I was in Romania, enjoying what was an extremely welcomed and relaxing vacation! Now I am back in Belgium, still holding to that holiday feeling, and mostly thinking about the summer ahead, but assignments are bringing me back from the clouds and reminding me that they come first, and then summer, ugh… So, I have to “man up” and stop day dreaming and actually start doing them. So, in the light of this feeling, I am presenting to you today, this boyish outfit, because, well, sometimes you feel like giving up those cute, little skirts, and have a more serious look with a masculine-cut blazer and a bold attitude! You already know that I love blazers, so since I went home with little clothes, I indulged myself with a trip to my mum’s closet where I found this beauty and I decided that it has to take a walk with me! It’s impressive how creative you have to get when you don’t have your usual clothes with you and you find yourself in front of some old clothes that you left home and then you match them with some of my mum’s – thank God – inspired wardrobe! I actually like it, it’s a challenge to match things that you don’t have in mind; however, if I have to rush and I have to do this, you might not want to be in my way, as I will be having a nervous breakdown until I find what I want. And that’s where my manly look ends and my girly attitude...

April Inspiration

Regardless of where you’re from, where do you live or what traditions you follow, April is a month of celebration. When I say this, I am thinking of Easter, but even the so long waited settle of Spring is a reason to celebrate! So, as the sun comes out (hopefully, for good), cute dresses come up and we feel more inspired to wear a girly look, bright colours or flowery skirts.  But once this comes up, the question “What to wear?” also comes with it, after a long period of wrapping-up in big, warm coats and with this avalanche of such a wide variety of options for spring outfits. So, as I have the same issue, I thought I’ll come and help you with some inspiration on what to wear this Easter. As some are celebrating it this Easter and some next week, I thought it’d be safe to show it to you at the beginning of the month, just so that anyone can use it as an inspiration, no matter what and when you’re celebrating in April! I chose this pretty little dress, because I think it’s a perfect choice for multiple ocasions: family dinner, lunch with friends, a cute date or even a walk through the city. Whatever the reason, this type of dress adapts and makes you feel gorgeous, no matter where you’re heading!  I chose to accessorize it with heels and some simple, elegant silver jewellery, because the dress already owns the stage, through it’s combination of colours and patterns, so it doesn’t need much to be added to it! Oh, and that collar! You...
Back to childhood

Back to childhood

Brugge outfit’s time to shine today! And so, you can discover that I dropped all the fanciness and glam for a pair of Converse and a taken-to-the-next-level layering outfit. It was overdue. I really enjoyed Paris and wearing heels and getting dressed up! I literally want to do that everyday! And me coming back to Leuven, which is not the most heels-friendly city, made me appreciate that even more! BUT, then… Coming back wasn’t easy, because my little trip to Paris was a few days escape from responibilities and since I barely had any internet (and for once in my life, it wasn’t such a bad thing) it really disconnected me from everything, so guess which was the first thing I had to do when I came back? Catch-up with everything. Not nice or pleasant, so after classes were done last week, my only craving was fo sleep! However, after a good sleep, girls convinced me that I should try something else too, and knowing the travel lover that I am, they tempted me with the trip to Brugge that I was talking to you about on Monday. And so, I took it as a chance of being a kid again and just wander around the city in my trainers, taking pictures and having a great laugh. To be honest, I recommend that once in a while! We’re getting too carried away, we’re becoming to stressed, and before you know it, wrinkles are already well settled on our faces! So let the wrinkes be laugh ones that would remind you of happy moments, rather that worries and problems. So...
School Girl

School Girl

Since I have been spending my days in between library, assignments and lectures I thought I might as well embrace my life right now and dress appropriately: like a school girl. I always liked uniforms, especially here in England, I like walking down the street and seeing college kids dressed in uniforms. It looks good, it looks like you are a part of something and somehow that you are going somewhere with it. I know, a lot of words, but that is all I have been doing lately, I have been writing, I have a lot of deadlines right now and a lot of writing to do, but I love writing. so I don’t complain. I would choose writing over memorizing a book anytime. It’s just something where you feel you have your own input, you are actually using your ideas, your creativity into making something new. Or at least that’s how I feel, that you bring something instead of just memorizing what others wrote and not leaving any trace of your ideas. So what better place to get some inspiration, fresh air and some creativity going, than a park? All green, all calm, it just makes you want to stay there the whole day. Except for the wind. It’s been so windy in England that you just want to get somewhere safe and warm, so long walks through the park are not such a good idea (sigh..). But opthimism is always good, so I still went through the park and guess what? The sun came up at some point and lightened my day, filled me with a bit...
