¦¦Black & White¦¦

¦¦Black & White¦¦

Hey, hey! Monday is almost over, you did it! You stood up and started yet another week, congrats! I truly hope your Monday went great and that you are ready to make the rest of the week even better! And to help you do that, I will talk some fashion inspiration today, giving you some ideas, because we all know that if there is a reason while you are late, that is because you could not decide what to wear, again… I don’t know if it’s because of this weather, my mood or what, but ever since I came to England I started having a crush on black and white. And honestly, now that I look outside the window and I see the raindrops gathering upon it, yeah, it might be the weather… Since I started feeling inspired by this combination, my next natural step was to try and express it. I began to get creative with the camera and play with shades, angles and light and I got some really nice shots. So I decided that, for as long as this crush stays with me, I will share a monochrome picture every morning with the hashtag #MonochromeMorning. Giving the fact that I don’t really feel fondly about my morning wake up call, I thought it was the best moment to share a colour free post! Up next on my “express your creativity” scale is a monochrome outfit. Ideally, more than one. So I did a bit of research and found a few outfits that I would like to invest into. I feel like it’s such a good combination,...
Holiday Mood

Holiday Mood

Assignments submitted, work done, on a break from classes, everything starts taking one shape: holiday! No alarm clock, no rushing to lectures, meetings, practices, no pressure to hand in assignments, everything is peacefully quiet! And I couldn’t enjoy it more! To be honest, at first, I didn’t really know what do to, so i did nothing! I stood in bed or carried myself around the house a whole day! And it felt so weird, I was always thinking “Shouldn’t I go somewhere? Don’t I have a meeting? Let me check my diary again!”. And it’s funny how used I got to being busy and now I got to realize how much I enjoy spending my time in a productive way! Last Friday I had my last lecture and ever since I have been enjoying being young and wild and free! And yes, this is a Snoop Dogg reference as I went to see him on Friday! And since then, I just spent time either sleeping (much needed, this activity, I should try it more often) either catching up with my friends, as I am not going to see one of my dearest for a while…So we did reunions, we went for coffees, we laughed until we cried and we remembered things while creating new memories! Today I am flying back home to create new ones, this time with my family and friends from home, that I cannot wait to see! This semester it’s been great: full of beautiful things, less beautiful things that taught me lessons, productive and most of all reflective! All in all, an experience! So, as...
Burgundy at Dawn

Burgundy at Dawn

I am back! As I explained to you in my last post, assignments are taking over my life these days, so unfortunately I don’t have enough time to cover everything I’d like to do, which very much involves my blogging activity! I am so sorry I left my last Inspirational Monday uncovered, but I promise you a very nice Inspiration post next week! So today, to keep the same peaceful vibe, I will show you these pictures made at dawn by the river! As I promised you when I left back home the last time (here) I returned to show you a bit more of the river, the bridge and I really hope you feel the calm and silence that I always get filled with when I go there! The outfit had to be a simple one, so that it would just embrace the beauty that surrounded me, but I still had to have a special something, which in this case was this beautiful burgundy vintage coat! Ever since I discovered this colour, I fell in love with it! I feel like it expresses so much on its own, that there’s no need for added accessories. So, it’s the best way to wear a simple outfit that still looks bold and stands out, and all because of this amazing colour, isn’t it interesting? What made the outfit even more special were these really comfy wedges that matched with the coat. Not to mention that the sunset colours were completing this looks in a perfect way! So, I’ll let you see by yourself! Have a look at the pictures and...
Casualty

Casualty

If you are a student you know that, as Christmas approaches, so does the assignment season, so you find yourself, day after day, either in the library, or in a study centre, or even at home, but always with some essay to write, or with some presentation to prepare (if not, and rules for students are different where you are, and you only start the assignments after Christmas, consider yourself lucky!). I am sure you already figured it out, I am one of those students, and yes, I am spending most of my days in the library! So when one of my friends, who happens to be a professional photographer, asked me if I want to take a break from studying and go with her to shoot some pictures, you can imagine that my answer was a huge “YES” and I just ran to meet her! And the result is that I had a huge smile on my face during the whole photoshoot – mostly because she is a really joyful person, but the fact that she also was my sweet escape made me even happier! Therefore, there is no glam or “fancyness” in here, as none of these were planned, this is just a casual outfit that I’d wear on a day spent in the library! Little make-up, as I prefer a natural look and the perfect thing to make me feel cozy and warm: this beautiful cape! I just can’t get over my cape-crush, so I try to embrace them in every way possible! Taking it to the library is the best idea ever: you can cover...
