Happy International Women’s Day! I didn’t want for this day to pass without a little celebration here, on Destray, as well. I know I’ve been caught up in all my other projects and haven’t blogged for a bit, but hey, I am here today and I am very excited to celebrate every single woman for her amazing contribution to this world. I am lucky enough to have a tremendous amount of women that inspire me in my life, some whom I see daily, some whom are always in my heart, some whom I cross paths with and some whom I simply look up to from far away. I wanted to publish this post along with this photoshoot because I truly believe in Queen B’s lyrics (still love her, yes!) that “Diva is a female version of a hustler”. Or at least this is how I now perceive it. I used to be put down by the fact that people called me a diva, or bossy, or a workaholic, all these words seemed to be used to give me such a bad name, to make me feel bad for what I do, for who I am. But I have learned to listen to myself before I’ve listened to others, and now I just embrace who I am. Yes, I work a lot, yes, I aspire to be fully independent and yes, I am a hustler. And this is why I chose this shoot in particular. I didn’t want to post a pretty dress, heels and flowers, only because that’s how a post that celebrates women “should” look like. I wanted...

Hello beautiful, Oh how I longed to write a few lines around here again! It’s crazy how unexpected life is and how you constantly have so many things to do and in the end you end up postponing forever the things you actually enjoy doing most. Lately a few of you have been asking me what’s going on with the blog, if I’m not planning on posting anymore or why is it that I have been so absent. And that is because, as I’m sure some of you have noticed, ever since I started my placement and working full time it has been harder to post as much as I want and to organise photoshoots since a lot of my time was already booked. There were good times when I posted quite a lot and not so good times when I didn’t post at all for weeks. Trust me, there wasn’t a day when the blog was not on my mind, or when I wasn’t thinking about new outfits that I could post and new creative things that I could share. But I don’t like sharing with you things that I am not 100% true about or pictures that I don’t believe are of enough quality to show you. In other words, I like to be completely involved. Half involvement will not do. And who knows me knows that this is how I am with everything I do. So, ultimately, that is what happened. I was physically and at some point, mentally too, unable to give my 100% to everything. But show always must go on, and since this...

…it should all be nice and sunny! But it’s not actually, I did not get to that tipe of May yet – it’s not sunny and it’s for sure not nice. I love this Erasmus semester and I am forever grateful for all I am living and all the people I met. Still, let’s just say that ever since I came back from home, I have been in school more than I have been home, if you don’t include the sleeping part, sometimes, even so. The system here is totally different from England, and even if I am trying to accept this and find the positive things about it, sometimes I just surrender to a nervous breakdown and call out the amount of work I have to do. However, I have decided to keep looking at things with positivity and brightness and just try and be as productive as I can (procrastination might become an issue here) and do everything I need to do in time, so that I get to enjoy what’s left from this Erasmus. I can’t believe I already have to say that…time passed so quick that I didn’t even realize there’s a few weeks of class and then exams (read: panic time) and that’s it, it’s gone too fast. Aaaaaanyways, this blog was meant to be about fashion, and this an outfit post, so less talking, more pictures, right? Thank God that I had to go grocery shopping and that H&M happened to be in my way, because that’s how I got these really nice high waisted jeans and so took advantage of a lost...

Officially, spring is here!! I have waited so long for this moment that I am extremely excited for this!! I can hide away my coats that kept we warm during cold weather and enjoy some blazers before the warmth fully kicks in and it’s summer time! And what better way to celebrate spring than a bouquet of yellow daffodils to brighten my day and give me the right state of mind for sunny days! That and spending the day with my best friend, as I did, chatting the day away while shooting these pictures! As a tip, she had no idea that I was going to come home for the holidays, which is why I kept my trip incognito, so that I can truly make it a surprise for her, and I did! She was, as me, delighted for our encounter and we went straight on to some catching up accompanied by a good laugh! As for the outfit, I chose a pretty shirt-dress all denim which made a greta contrast with my daffodils, some black heels and purse and silver accessories! The way flowers bloom and everything comes to life, and people start spending time on terraces and you can hear laughs all the time and see how nature embraces the warm days is really inspiring for me, and I already have so many ideas and so many outfits created in my head, that I cannot wait to wear them and shoot some pictures to share them with you! I started easy, with blue denim and black thigths, but I am looking forward to brights colours and...

Regardless of where you’re from, where do you live or what traditions you follow, April is a month of celebration. When I say this, I am thinking of Easter, but even the so long waited settle of Spring is a reason to celebrate! So, as the sun comes out (hopefully, for good), cute dresses come up and we feel more inspired to wear a girly look, bright colours or flowery skirts. But once this comes up, the question “What to wear?” also comes with it, after a long period of wrapping-up in big, warm coats and with this avalanche of such a wide variety of options for spring outfits. So, as I have the same issue, I thought I’ll come and help you with some inspiration on what to wear this Easter. As some are celebrating it this Easter and some next week, I thought it’d be safe to show it to you at the beginning of the month, just so that anyone can use it as an inspiration, no matter what and when you’re celebrating in April! I chose this pretty little dress, because I think it’s a perfect choice for multiple ocasions: family dinner, lunch with friends, a cute date or even a walk through the city. Whatever the reason, this type of dress adapts and makes you feel gorgeous, no matter where you’re heading! I chose to accessorize it with heels and some simple, elegant silver jewellery, because the dress already owns the stage, through it’s combination of colours and patterns, so it doesn’t need much to be added to it! Oh, and that collar! You...
