Back to Business

Hey you, How’s 2018 so far? Did you get back into your rhytm after holidays, lots of food, sleep, parties and family time? Don’t worry, it takes a bit, take your time, you’ll get there. That’s what I’m telling myself as well, I had a slow start to the year, but it allowed me to really think things through and figure out what I want to focus on this year. It also allowed me to spend more time with my family, my close friends who recharged me and gave me plenty of energy to last me a while, hopefully until I see them again. I did less work that I had set myself to do because I thought spending time with them and all this recharging is more beneficial and it will also allow me, when I get back to things, to start again strong and go full speed ahead! So now that slow motion start is going on fast forward and I’m ready to get back to business and go make 2018 my year. I’m currently at the airport, ready to board, and I must say, this is my favourite place to write articles. I’m in ‘no man’s land’ with a destination ahead and hopes and dreams that need some work done for them to come true. Also, this is the airport where I’ve had the saddest departures and happiest arrivals, so it kinda became my place where I think about my life, make plans, set goals. Hope you’re ready to work your way through this year and make it your best yet! Don’t forget to also enjoy...
Simple As That

Simple As That

Hello hello, How is it already winter and how are we only 6 weeks away from Christmas? It’s beyond me. And I know you’ve heard this a gazillion times and it’s a world-known cliché, but time flies, man! Like seriously, this year is almost over? Unbelievable! The amount of things that changed this year is huge, but let’s not get to the reflective post on the year just yet, it’s still November, right? Talking about time flying, my last post was on London Fashion Week and I was away with business. Ever since, I travelled a bit more around, but with less work in mind. For starters, I returned to my homie Worcester for a couple of days to throw the mortarboard and graduate. It was such a perfect day, I felt very proud and grateful to be surrounded by my family and friends for my celebrations. Right after (and I mean right after – I didn’t bother to include sleep in my schedule) I went to Paris for a study trip at the Institut Français de la Mode to get some insight on the luxury fashion market, eat from as many boulangeries as possible, cheer glasses of French wines and indulge myself with pretty macarons. And as I usually get inspired from the places I travel, Paris is no exception, it has that ‘je ne sais quoi’ that makes all French people look effortlessly chic – no overflow of accessories, no layering, no overdoing it. I love that. I feel like my style is constantly changing and I’m very keen on trying out different pieces and see what works...
Sweet Goodbye

Sweet Goodbye

Hi my dears, First and foremost, I have had a great feedback for yesterday’s post about inner beauty, thank you! If you haven’t read it already or want to leave me your opinion on it, please do! The post is here. On another note, today is the first day of autumn. Whaaaat? Where did my summer go? Time flies, really! But hey, no complaining, I started my summer on Erasmus, in Belgium, then spent some amazing weeks in Romania, at home, went to the beach for a week and then finished it off in England. It was quite a good summer, if I am to be fair here. So while setting the start to fall, I am saying goodbye to summer, but it’s a sweet goodbye if I remember my days at the beach, surrounded by family and a beautiful sunset, absolutely perfect. And yes, I miss that. But I believe in living in the moment and cherishing the past through memories while believing in the future through wishes! Of course, saying goodbye is not easy, but giving the fact that I have been in England for a couple of weeks now, I got used to the British weather and to people saying “what summer?” whenever the summer talks were on. So this is just to make it official, it’s September now, and summer is gone. But hey, see it this way – you will finally have the chance to try all those fall trends that you had your eyes on! Oh, and layering, yes, the layering game will be strong. Can’t wait to get inspired by all the...
Back to childhood

Back to childhood

Brugge outfit’s time to shine today! And so, you can discover that I dropped all the fanciness and glam for a pair of Converse and a taken-to-the-next-level layering outfit. It was overdue. I really enjoyed Paris and wearing heels and getting dressed up! I literally want to do that everyday! And me coming back to Leuven, which is not the most heels-friendly city, made me appreciate that even more! BUT, then… Coming back wasn’t easy, because my little trip to Paris was a few days escape from responibilities and since I barely had any internet (and for once in my life, it wasn’t such a bad thing) it really disconnected me from everything, so guess which was the first thing I had to do when I came back? Catch-up with everything. Not nice or pleasant, so after classes were done last week, my only craving was fo sleep! However, after a good sleep, girls convinced me that I should try something else too, and knowing the travel lover that I am, they tempted me with the trip to Brugge that I was talking to you about on Monday. And so, I took it as a chance of being a kid again and just wander around the city in my trainers, taking pictures and having a great laugh. To be honest, I recommend that once in a while! We’re getting too carried away, we’re becoming to stressed, and before you know it, wrinkles are already well settled on our faces! So let the wrinkes be laugh ones that would remind you of happy moments, rather that worries and problems. So...
Casual Chic

Casual Chic

Good morning, darlings! I wanted to start this last working day of the week and get you into the weekend with these pictures that I shot before leaving for my holiday back home and I never got to show you. I shot them on an early morning too (hint: the big coffee mug), so I thought I’d relive the moment and this time share it with you too. I love cozy coats. They’re everything. You can just wear a simple shirt and sneak into a cozy, big coat and you’ll feel great and warm for the whole day. And if the coat comes in a great colour, then even better! As this one did. I love how the mustard colour blends in with the backround. I shot these pictures at the racecourse in Worcester and I never would have thought that they’d turn out as amazing as they did. All that green behind me just make a great contrast with this great coat. Oh, and my hat! I am in love with hats, and remember I had a post wondering what should I invest in? (here) Well, I decided to go for the hat, and I got this wool hat that is just perfect! I am really picky with hats so when I find one that looks exactly how I want it, I just go for it so here it is! To be honest, this is one of my favourite type of daily outfits: it’s simple, but classy, it’s casual, but chic, it’s really easy to come up with and it still looks good. Have a great weekend, my...
