Sweet Goodbye

Sweet Goodbye

Hi my dears, First and foremost, I have had a great feedback for yesterday’s post about inner beauty, thank you! If you haven’t read it already or want to leave me your opinion on it, please do! The post is here. On another note, today is the first day of autumn. Whaaaat? Where did my summer go? Time flies, really! But hey, no complaining, I started my summer on Erasmus, in Belgium, then spent some amazing weeks in Romania, at home, went to the beach for a week and then finished it off in England. It was quite a good summer, if I am to be fair here. So while setting the start to fall, I am saying goodbye to summer, but it’s a sweet goodbye if I remember my days at the beach, surrounded by family and a beautiful sunset, absolutely perfect. And yes, I miss that. But I believe in living in the moment and cherishing the past through memories while believing in the future through wishes! Of course, saying goodbye is not easy, but giving the fact that I have been in England for a couple of weeks now, I got used to the British weather and to people saying “what summer?” whenever the summer talks were on. So this is just to make it official, it’s September now, and summer is gone. But hey, see it this way – you will finally have the chance to try all those fall trends that you had your eyes on! Oh, and layering, yes, the layering game will be strong. Can’t wait to get inspired by all the...
Summer Essentials – Destray edition

Summer Essentials – Destray edition

I said it and I will say it again. Unfortunately for me for these exams, my mind is already set on summer, so as I stay here, thinking of any possible method that would make me focus and keep studying, I thought on a little break I’ll let my mindset just be itself and brainstorm on summer instead. So,while brainstorming, what it’ll always be on our mind is what to we need? No, not what we want, we’ll cover that next week. Needs before wants, like in the pyramid, remember? See, I’ve been studying…Therefore, there are a few important things that you absolutely need to have the perfect summer. Curious if your list clashes with mine? Yeah, me too, so let’s get going: No. 1 – Sunscreen. I know, no one wants it, everyone is bored of it or forgets to put it on, or doesn’t even want to buy it. But it’s not an option. I understand you want a tan, trust me, I want one too, but being red and having a dry skin won’t make the cut. And surely won’t give us the result we aim for. Moreover, protection doesn’t really have to do with how fast you tan or you don’t, in the end we all need it to keep skin diseases out of our lives. So yes, please count it in.   No. 2 – Hat Come on, this is a fun one! You get to go shopping and pick one (or more) and then you get to accessorize it with your stunning summer outfits. And it doesn’t really matter if you’re going to...
Mademoiselle à Paris

Mademoiselle à Paris

Ahh, the Saturday feeling! You know what I mean, the moment you know it’s weekend, your whole body and mind gets into a let’s-just-chill state and no matter how much you try (and I am really trying, because I have work to do) you just can’t get out of it! This state starts on Friday for me, as I have the day off here, in Belgium, and so I spend it accompanied by some really chill beats and so it lasts for the whole weekend. And so I am today. And that just brings up memories, brings me back to my long weekend in Paris, when I couldn’t care less what day it is and if there is anything that has a deadline soon or not. My first Paris Fashion week experience was really nice, got to see people, to meet new people, to decide what I want to do and what path I want to take in my career. Or at least an idea. I guess there’s always a little spark that comes up and gives me a new idea, so I have no idea what the final one will be. Anyways, I loved dressing up in Paris. I felt like I could dress up, wear heels, wear oversized layered outfits, like this one, and still fit in, while standing out. It’s an amazing feeling, because you get to express your style and your personality, but you are not being judged by it, and I haven’t encountered that everywhere I have been. Obviously, people become more open-minded and more laid back, but still, it’s in these big fashion...

In the middle of the street

As I started writing this post, I got nostalgic over the sunny day that we had when we shot these pictures, but by the time I put my ideas together, the sun was shining bright. That’s the thing about England weather: you never know! I was actually talking with my friends that this is the only place where a conversation about weather is not boring! Because no matter what, you’ll have that conversation, probably every day, with at least one person, and yes, you will feel like an old lady who ran out of subjects, but there’s no need for that, because this subject is long enough to cover a few good lines! Anyway, I shot these pictures while I was still escaping library in the assignments time, and odd enough, I feel like I have been shooting more when I actually had assignments and stuff to do rather than now, when I am having some kind of a break. It may have become one of my new ways of procrastinating, but come on, who wouldn’t choose this over writing papers and conducting research? As you can see, I am fully-smiling in all of the pictures, so I think you got the answer to this question. However, I got to this place by mistake, I have crossed it so many times and I never noticed it, but now it was so quiet and the sunlight was shining great on the street and that little corner coffee shop that I had to stop and have my photoshoot right there – in the middle of the street! As I said, I...
Standing in the Sunlight

Standing in the Sunlight

Now that is that time of the year when the library is the main place to be, I am happy everytime I have a bit of time to escape from it! And if the sun happens to be shining at that time, I really don’t mind! So, I didn’t shy away this time either, it was so cloudy that when I saw the sun finally sneaking in through the clouds, I knew it was the perfect time to go out and do some pictures! I have barely any make up, an orange sweater on to match with the sunlight and some pearls accessorizing my look, with a little cute D hanging from my bracelet! I am in England, sun doesn’t shine often and when it does it doesn’t last for too long, so when I see some bright sunshines, I step right in front of them! Some people can’t stand having the sun in their face, but me, I simply love it! The moment the sun touches my face, I immediately start to smile! As a result, my face is all white (not that I’d usually be a tanned person or something), I actually had to be told when to open my eyes, as I was blinking all the time, but I really loved this vitamin D filling session! Oh, and as it’s been raining quite a lot recently, the river is out and so are the swans, exploring the shores, so I got a few shots with them too! I hope some sun from these pictures comes to you too, and enlightenes your weekend, making it bright and shiny...
