The More, The Merrier

The More, The Merrier

People say it’s easier to have one photographer who comes along wherever you go and knows exactly how to shoot and what you want and there you go, you have your perfect shots in no time! When I started blogging, I used to think that! But then again, when I started I already had 2 that were taking turns, but these 2 are partners in crimes and work together, so their style is similar. However, I am always on the move, and not always surrounded by the same people, so of course, I knew that I would have to have more photographers, as I am traveling so much, And I thought it’s hard, and that it’s going to take so long to find someone and blah blah blah. You know all that negative thing that comes to your mind before the positive thing. Well, let’s erase that. I have worked with more than 10 photographers until now, and I can say that I love it! Wouldn’t it be easier to have one that’s always there and knows exactly what is it that you want out of the photoshoot? Yeah, well, I am not exactly the person to take the easy way. And working with different people is great! It makes me know exactly what I want and gives the opportunity to direct the shoot or collaborate for ideas with the photographer and so makes me get to know myself better and what kind of shots I want. Then, there was no session where I would not have had a great laugh with the person/crew behind the camera. So I...
Summer Essentials – Destray edition

Summer Essentials – Destray edition

I said it and I will say it again. Unfortunately for me for these exams, my mind is already set on summer, so as I stay here, thinking of any possible method that would make me focus and keep studying, I thought on a little break I’ll let my mindset just be itself and brainstorm on summer instead. So,while brainstorming, what it’ll always be on our mind is what to we need? No, not what we want, we’ll cover that next week. Needs before wants, like in the pyramid, remember? See, I’ve been studying…Therefore, there are a few important things that you absolutely need to have the perfect summer. Curious if your list clashes with mine? Yeah, me too, so let’s get going: No. 1 – Sunscreen. I know, no one wants it, everyone is bored of it or forgets to put it on, or doesn’t even want to buy it. But it’s not an option. I understand you want a tan, trust me, I want one too, but being red and having a dry skin won’t make the cut. And surely won’t give us the result we aim for. Moreover, protection doesn’t really have to do with how fast you tan or you don’t, in the end we all need it to keep skin diseases out of our lives. So yes, please count it in.   No. 2 – Hat Come on, this is a fun one! You get to go shopping and pick one (or more) and then you get to accessorize it with your stunning summer outfits. And it doesn’t really matter if you’re going to...

And I'm off to…

…BARCELONA!!!   As you’re reading this, I am waiting to get on my flight to one of my favourite cities visited so far! I am literally so excited, that I cannot stop smiling!! Apart from returning to the beauty of Barcelona, I will also have a reunion with my friends which is even more exciting! This is why I have tried my best to do all this unconceivable amount of work as I don’t want to leave worried that I left things undone or to keep my mind on it. I will take these few days as they are: a vacation! With good friends, sun and new memories! Of course, intensive sessions of catching up are overdue!   Living in the light of the sun was also a good motivation, as the weather here reminded me of England and then it showed me that it can be worse than that and that you should never pretend that you know how the weather is going to be like! Like, seriously, don’t even try… I have waited so long for this: no more thights, no more boots, just skirts, dresses and sandals, ahhh. This is what also made me find this lovey Gap skirt that I have had for a while and not wore it, time to change that! So, that was my exciting news!! Also, the sad part is that while I’m there I won’t be posting on the blog, but I promise to keep you updated!! Just keep following me on Facebook and Instagram and I will make sure to share the sun with you!! Besitos, D.    ...
Brugge – The Venice of the North

Brugge – The Venice of the North

Hallo! Hoe gaat het? //Hi! How are you? I still have loads of pictures from Paris to share with you, but I thought I’d take a break from that and tell you all about this pretty Belgian city that I discovered on Saturday! Hence comes my Dutch/Flemish speaking attempt, as I feel like I should know a few words before I leave Belgium, so I am working on it! Especially since it will all sum up in a few good months spent here, so it would be rude of me not to learn anything, even more, while being a language lover. While using the same principle, I decided that I should see some of Belgium too, even if travelling across Europe is exciting, as Belgium is a beautiful country and it would be a pity not to take advantage of these months I am spending here. So I started with Brugge, one of the most recommended cities from Belgium! And yes, I loved it! It is the ultimate explanation of why Belgium is famous for chocolate. I don’t think they ever run out over there. The streets are literally like this: chocolate shop, then a chocolate shop, then a chocolate shop and then, guess what? Another chocolate shop! It’s literally like the city was built on these shops! However, apart from that, the city really is amazing! We visited a history museum and it was the most interesting way of hearing a history story I experienced so far! They turned it all into a love story, and being the girl that I am, obviously, it brought a smile on...
Travel Essentials

Travel Essentials

I just spent the weekend travelling, you would have already known, because boredom and loneliness while on bus/car/train makes you constantly post on Social Media (no joke, this is how I know that my friends are travelling) but this was a no-internet journey and the welcome and the place to live kept being the same, but I’ll tell you more about it in the next days. And now that I am in Belgium, Leuven and I still have little to no idea of where things are and where am I supposed to be, and so there is not much that I can share from here yet, I thought I’d share what is completely essential for me while I travel. So, here we go: 1. Music DEFINITELY – nothing comes before this. When I travel alone I want to enjoy as much music as I can (usually I enjoy less, because the battery dies or some conversation with another travel buddy is overdue), but seriously, this is my main thing to keep me awake, to help me fall asleep, to make me ignore weird people, to make me smile while I am looking over the window. You get it – to everything. 2. Something to read Now this comes with the mood and with the journey’s length. Sometimes I go for a book, and sometimes a magazine will do. To be honest, this applies more when I fly because I cannot read on the bus/car. So it’s either in the train or plane, either while I am waiting in some lounge or station. 3. Water Ok, so this is more...
