Simple As That

Simple As That

Hello hello, How is it already winter and how are we only 6 weeks away from Christmas? It’s beyond me. And I know you’ve heard this a gazillion times and it’s a world-known cliché, but time flies, man! Like seriously, this year is almost over? Unbelievable! The amount of things that changed this year is huge, but let’s not get to the reflective post on the year just yet, it’s still November, right? Talking about time flying, my last post was on London Fashion Week and I was away with business. Ever since, I travelled a bit more around, but with less work in mind. For starters, I returned to my homie Worcester for a couple of days to throw the mortarboard and graduate. It was such a perfect day, I felt very proud and grateful to be surrounded by my family and friends for my celebrations. Right after (and I mean right after – I didn’t bother to include sleep in my schedule) I went to Paris for a study trip at the Institut Français de la Mode to get some insight on the luxury fashion market, eat from as many boulangeries as possible, cheer glasses of French wines and indulge myself with pretty macarons. And as I usually get inspired from the places I travel, Paris is no exception, it has that ‘je ne sais quoi’ that makes all French people look effortlessly chic – no overflow of accessories, no layering, no overdoing it. I love that. I feel like my style is constantly changing and I’m very keen on trying out different pieces and see what works...

Hello there, Things are black and white now, as Thursday is coming to an end and Friday is slowly showing up leading us into the last weekend of October. What? 2 months left of 2016. Whoa, okay, didn’t see that coming. So yes, today’s outfit on the blog is black and white, as I kind of tend to see things these days, because I have no time for any gray areas really. Things are what they are. I know it’s not always the case, but when your life is moving at a fast pace, you don’t really get to overthink every little thing. Which is a blessing. Or not? I’ll let you decide on this one. But I don’t want to leave you the impression that this black and white lifestyle makes me sad. It really doesn’t. I am in a very, very happy place right now. I called my mum the other day and told her how blessed and lucky I am feeling with all the opportunities that surround me. I genuinely am in a good place right now. And you know, all good things come to an end, so I plan on enjoying every minute of it – being it black or white, because of course, some days are still hard, some things still attempt to knock me down, but slowly and surely I go through them all and go back to my positive vibes. So there’s one reason for my outfit choice. The second one is that – and this will most certainly not come as a surprise to people that know me – I like...
¦¦Black & White¦¦

¦¦Black & White¦¦

Hey, hey! Monday is almost over, you did it! You stood up and started yet another week, congrats! I truly hope your Monday went great and that you are ready to make the rest of the week even better! And to help you do that, I will talk some fashion inspiration today, giving you some ideas, because we all know that if there is a reason while you are late, that is because you could not decide what to wear, again… I don’t know if it’s because of this weather, my mood or what, but ever since I came to England I started having a crush on black and white. And honestly, now that I look outside the window and I see the raindrops gathering upon it, yeah, it might be the weather… Since I started feeling inspired by this combination, my next natural step was to try and express it. I began to get creative with the camera and play with shades, angles and light and I got some really nice shots. So I decided that, for as long as this crush stays with me, I will share a monochrome picture every morning with the hashtag #MonochromeMorning. Giving the fact that I don’t really feel fondly about my morning wake up call, I thought it was the best moment to share a colour free post! Up next on my “express your creativity” scale is a monochrome outfit. Ideally, more than one. So I did a bit of research and found a few outfits that I would like to invest into. I feel like it’s such a good combination,...
Untold 2015 //Day 4

Untold 2015 //Day 4

Hello darlings, As I keep telling you, Untold was an amazing experience and I cannot wait for next year’s edition! The last day amazed the crowd with a great ending – lights, animations, fireworks – it was perfect! And well, since we’re talking about the last day, it means we reached the end of my Untold outfit series, but not to worry, I am here to end this in style! This outfit was my favourite! It was the most feminine one and I was really looking forward to wearing it! During the festival, I mostly wore casual, comfy things, mostly branded, so they were not something unusual, they were something accessible to everyone. I needed a bit of originality and uniqueness. And so I wore this beeeeaaauuutifuuul dress!! I literally love it so much! It has a great print, those amazing cuts and that chic, girly, vibe. It’s just dreamy! And it was a real success! Everyone asked me where I got it from, and got all curious about it! But now there’s a little secret to it. I got it from my “back up storage of cool things”. I most certainly told you about it before, didn’t I? Well, I will tell you again! It’s my mum’s amazing taste in fashion and her great instinct of not throwing away any of these beautiful pieces, until I run through them. Yes, you got it right. It’s a vintage piece that belonged to my mum, and which I reinvented by customizing it and matching it to my style and voilà – a fresh piece that can easily fit into today’s...
Evening walk

Evening walk

You know when you get really, really busy and you don’t have enough time left to do the pictures in the day light? What do you do? You do them in the evening! Finally I have a bit of spare time in my crazy schedule (still after dawn, as you can see) so I did what I love most which is walking around the city with no special purpose in mind! And while I was at it, I realised how Christmassy the city is getting! Lights are coming up, “Jingle Bells” can be heard from the cafes, shops become fairytale places all of a sudden, and all of this just brings a smile on my face and makes me get into the holiday spirit! I love Christmas, I feel like it’s a holiday that brings people close together, and even if it may be a bit too early to think of it, the city just whispers smoothly that Christmas is slowly coming! So, for my evening walk I chose a black & white outfit matched with a long, red coat! I always love to add up a red thing, I feel like it brightens up the whole outfit, and therefore my mood too! This time I included the bag too, choosing this red/black purse to go with, and the usual smile that completes everything! Of course I was attracted by the all-white shops and their cozy feeling, so I already spotted some Christmas presents, but shhh, it’s a surprise! How is your weekend going, darlings? I hope you have a bit of time for yourself, because I can definitely...
