Untold 2015 //Day 1

Untold 2015 //Day 1

Hey, dears! As promised, starting today I am sharing my outfits from Untold Festival. For those that do not know, Untold is a festival that took place in my hometown, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. It was the peak of the celebratory year of Cluj being the European Youth Capital for 2015. The festival had names as John Newman, Tinie Tempah, Lost Frequencies or Tom Odell singing to their great beats, but the ones that had the whole stadium full, and who were the most waited ones were Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Avicii, Armin Van Buuren and David Guetta. They all played some amazing sets and got the crowds excited every night of the festival! Accompanied by lights, fireworks, on screen animations and warmed up by Fat Boy Slim as an MC, the shows were stunning! But more about the festival in the next post, for now, let’s focus on the outfit… I started Untold with a casual, laid-back, I would say even a cliché outfit for a festival. Jeans shirt, casual dress and boots – a really comfy look to be dancing in until the morning hours! Oh, that vintage shirt – that is like a piece I just can’t let go of, it’s so comfy and gives you such a cool look, being so loose, that I think I might be holding on to it forever haha! And of course, as I did not want it so plain, I accessorized it, and then added a temporay tattoo on the spot. Oh, and that smile, was just the happiness that you got from everyone around. It was a really cool...
A Modern Touch

A Modern Touch

As I said on Monday, today I take Joan Holloway as a personal inspiration and show you my modern interpretation. I brought Joan in our times, but kept the classy touch. To keep the vibe, I wore an all vintage outfit, except for the Zara pumps, and strolled down the street with a Mad Men attitude. However, instead of making an old-style bun, I chose to drop the curls and straighten my hair, for a different look. My point is, an outfit inspired from a 60s – 70s look makes a great summer choice or an office look. If we’re talking about the classic pencil skirt and shirt combination, it’s all in the colours and the shirt chosen. I went for a summerish, flower print, tied around the waist shirt, and for a wider skirt in a bright colour, which made it perfect for a summer walk. That does not mean that in order to make it a great office look, you need to constrain yourself to dark colours. It can also have these colours, just choose a different shirt, maybe a simpler one, and don’t tie it. Also, for a more formal look, a bun might look better. It’s all about picking a bit of inspiration from here, a bit from there, and mixing it all in the end! I really liked this outfit and the classy touch that it has, so Joan for sure knew what she was doing when she was rocking those looks! Let me know what you think of finding inspiration in a series/ an older decade, if you like my interpretation and of...
Holiday Mood

Holiday Mood

Assignments submitted, work done, on a break from classes, everything starts taking one shape: holiday! No alarm clock, no rushing to lectures, meetings, practices, no pressure to hand in assignments, everything is peacefully quiet! And I couldn’t enjoy it more! To be honest, at first, I didn’t really know what do to, so i did nothing! I stood in bed or carried myself around the house a whole day! And it felt so weird, I was always thinking “Shouldn’t I go somewhere? Don’t I have a meeting? Let me check my diary again!”. And it’s funny how used I got to being busy and now I got to realize how much I enjoy spending my time in a productive way! Last Friday I had my last lecture and ever since I have been enjoying being young and wild and free! And yes, this is a Snoop Dogg reference as I went to see him on Friday! And since then, I just spent time either sleeping (much needed, this activity, I should try it more often) either catching up with my friends, as I am not going to see one of my dearest for a while…So we did reunions, we went for coffees, we laughed until we cried and we remembered things while creating new memories! Today I am flying back home to create new ones, this time with my family and friends from home, that I cannot wait to see! This semester it’s been great: full of beautiful things, less beautiful things that taught me lessons, productive and most of all reflective! All in all, an experience! So, as...
